More like a library than a cafe, this peaceful place has a history-filled atmosphere. My wife and I didn't plan a trip in advance, but the atmosphere was very impressive. It's worth visiting during a trip to Copenhagen. We didn't eat there, but it's received a lot of praise...

Decent coffee and some croissant & cheesecakes but no Danish pastries 😭. Pretty expensive but you're paying for the ambience - it's like a library. Great for people to study or do work in but rather hushed for a group to have a social coffee.

Really cute cafe with loads of books around you! The vibe is nice, eather for just relaxing or studying if you would like. Only downside was the long waiting line to order / get your drinks (oh and it isn’t cheap, but that’s Copenhagen).

Cute café and work spot in the heart of copenhagen. Lovely vibes and nice coffees butalqays crowded and loud inside. If you are working at your computer I recommend headphones if you can concentrate with music

such a beautiful cafe with lots of books around and an antiquey decor. Food is good and comes in big portion. Coffee is great too.

I loved the atmosphere of this place and being surrounded by books. I got a coffee and read for a while. The only thing that wasnt optimal was the lemon cheesecake I ordered was still quite frozen. After letting it thaw for a bit, I could eat it and it was creamy.

20/12/2025: Smells a little too much of pee at the bar. But 1st floor is cool
05/12/2025: Really good bar/pub. Very cosy. Nice range of beers on tap, all the usual spirits, very cool and friendly bar staff. Can get very, very busy/crowded, expecially on a game night, but - it's a great place.

16/07/2026: Really lovely bar with a good choice of whiskeys and excellent Mocktails! As someone who does not drink alcohol, I really appreciate that. We came after a business dinner with our guests and they really liked it. However, I think that this is also a good place to hang out with friends. Cool ambience and nice staff!
21/06/2026: We visited during our weekend trip to Copenhagen and had a wonderful time. The cocktails were delicious, the service was excellent, and we really enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. Highly recommended!
