Petit Bar Herning

16/12/2024: A bit against custom, a burger will be tested today instead of a steak sandwich, as it cannot be picked up in the Herning Centre. It then became café Karma to be tested. Arrived at 13.02 and was immediately shown to a table in the packed cafe. Ordered the house burger from the nice young lady at 13.08 and the food was served at the table at 13.24. My first thought when serving was that the plate looked a bit messy and boring. The burger is served in a ciabatta bread and it is nice and big, the dear bread, the top is nice and crispy and the bottom is super soft, the crispy part was ok and the soft bottom part didn't matter. Both upper and lower parts are smeared with a fine-tasting garlic mayonnaise that just bites without being too much. There is a bit of iceberg lettuce, some red and green peppers as well as red onions and cherry tomatoes. The red onions are very coarsely cut and there were 2 thick end pieces which were not tasty, also the peppers were cut very coarsely, in my opinion it was just quick enough to get the greens cut, but it was there and there was plenty of it. There was a large slice of bacon which tasted great, but perhaps the most important thing was that the steak of approx. 200-225 g of minced beef tasted quite outstanding and was seasoned with a fine amount of salt and pepper. You could really taste the flame grilling. The steak was well done as recommended by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and I would like it pink or medium, but despite the roasting it was really good and the cheddar cheese was also on top. A gedint café meal for DKK 139, which also includes potato wedges with dressing, which were good. 2.5 stars out of 5 as some love is missing, but you get full.
