Pho Ly Vietnam Kolding

We went there twice, before and after Sweden/Norway. It is so difficult to find nice food that i don’t have to cook (we don’t eat pizza/kebab/burger) that we were happy this restaurant was on our road twice. The second time the owner recognized us even if it was 2 months later and offered us hot tea as there was no-one else at that time. We like the fact that we can have food at any time (not possible in France). And it feels so much like in Asia when you enter there (the owner eats there, have her friends or family around, it is not as clean as occidental people could expect). The food is much more expensive than in France but it is the prices in Denmark. We had pho in street food for the same price but the quality was so poor it is a shame (nothing fresh, no vegetables, limejuice and chili in plastic bottles...). We ordered Pho and banh cuon. As we were alone I was wondering what was frying, well it was the filling of the banh cuon, and the shallots on top of it. What a change ! So tasty. (although the dough was more cheewy than what I expected but I know it is a challenge). Someone put 1 star because dogs are not allowed. Well, so normal in a restaurant, it should be like that in every restaurant. My dog is really polite (not "well trained" as i havn’t done anything for that) (so she could not understand why she was on a leash "in the nature” in Sweden), i take her every time I can, but her place is not in museum, cinema or restaurant. there are other people around. If everyone come with his dog it will be a barking concert, (while my dog would stay quiet and annoyed with all this noise as it often happens!) Looking forward to be (with my dog!) in Ho Chi Minh (your place!) in 5 weeks and eat Vietnamese food 3 times a day! CẢM ƠN, keep on cooking traditionnal Vietnamse food.

Wonderfully authentic Vietnamese food and great service. Best pho I’ve tasted in Denmark so far. Really rich broth and high quality beef. They provide bird’s eye chilli too if you request it - special treat for all lovers of spice.

It is probably the best pho in Kolding. The soup, meat, vegetables everything was just right and plenty for one person. And the lemonade was really good 😁😁 5 out of 5 stars

The kids and I love the food here! Although the place may be marketed as a restaurant, I would call it more of a cafeteria - in the very best way. Here you get authentic Vietnamese food made from scratch, and you can really taste it. Our favorites are always banh mi (a crispy baguette with delicious beef), the hot and flavorful pho (Vietnamese noodle soup), and banh cuon (steamed rice pancakes). In addition, their bubble tea is also really good. It is important to understand that the service culture here is characterized by Vietnamese traditions. If you meet the staff with calmness, a smile and a little humor, they open up in the most warm and friendly way. It may be different from what many Danes are used to, but that is precisely part of the experience and charm. Can highly recommend the place to anyone who wants to experience authentic Vietnamese food in a relaxed environment or as a take away.

Whenever my mom and I go out to eat, we almost always choose to go to this place. It really is a hidden gem! The food is completely homemade from scratch, and you can taste the love in every single dish. The prices are also very reasonable - you really get a lot for your money. The atmosphere is somewhat reminiscent of a cafeteria, but in a cozy way. If you yourself are open and smiling, you also experience how nice and friendly the employees are. The service is really good and you quickly feel welcome. I highly recommend everyone to visit this place - it's totally worth it!
