Super cozy place in the middle of Valbyparken! We had a light lunch – snacks, coffee, soda and beer – and everything was delicious. The service was really good and the staff were nice and welcoming. Their coarse fritters and fried chicken were in a class of their own - especially the fried chicken tasted amazing! The prices are fair and it is definitely a place we will come back to.

People sat for hours waiting to be served even though they had paid and it was a strange concept that you couldn't go in and buy ice cream or coffee yourself.

Lovely food, pleasant and attentive waiters, nice premises. Looking forward to coming there one day when you can also sit outside. Really like the concept of sharing dishes.

Really cozy decor, a nice relaxing vibe! With nice waiters as soon as we entered 😁 We bought 5 dishes and shared and it was very good for 2 people, it was some good flavor combinations with a lot of different things to choose from on the menu, at the same time we had a very sweet and welcoming waiter 😁 I will definitely come back one summer day so we can sit outside! 😋

Huge recommendation from here. Has been a guest several times. Boats for evening menu, afternoon coffee, live music and quiz event. Always present and welcoming staff. Short but well-thought-out menu, always tasty and inspired, from light snacks to a 5-course set menu. Thank you for this cozy oasis in the Valby park <3

My company is not far from Valbyparken, so I wanted to try Picniq. In that context, I needed to contact the place in connection with my reservation and Jan Fruergaard immediately wrote back with a really good tip. It was exemplary good advance service. It made me raise my expectations. Fortunately, we were not disappointed, because we were very well received and got a tasty, non-traditional Christmas menu. The start was a nice salted trout, but it was a little too little to really enjoy it. Then came a super delicious chicken rillette, it could do anything and had tones of ambition in the kitchen, which has the potential to move up in the higher gastronomy. The main course was some deliciously delicious both crispy and juicy duck legs. It was complemented by a delicate pommes Anne with a layer of caramel and sesame seeds, a high-quality replacement for the Christmas misery of browned potatoes. True to tradition, it ended with a rice salamander absolutely on the good end, but in relation to the rest, there is potential for development for next Christmas. I'm already looking forward to it. Good value for your money, so can only recommend going out into the dark in Valbyparken and visiting this little gem before it gets overrun.
