Lovely light lunch, in some unusually charming surroundings after a stroll through Valby Park's themed gardens which worked up an appetite....we chose to share two toasts:
Mushroom toast w/ North Sea cheese, caramelised onions, truffle mayo & salad

There was a strange smell and for some reason all the guests were grouped within the same 20 sq m despite plenty of space in the restaurant. The food was nice but expensive for what you got

Really lovely food - well prepared and tasty - and welcoming and friendly service. And the coffee is absolutely excellent! Highly recommended.

To start with the menu is confusing as it's breakfast / brunch / lunch / dinner options that are simmilar but a bit different.
The food is tasty, but the food portions are on the smaller side and priced on the higher side.
Børnetoast (children toast) is probably best value item on the menu.
Most of the bread that comes with food is either well toasted and crunchy or just outright way to hard - just be warned if you have sensitive teeth.
The drink selection is quite good.

After disc-golfing with friends we decided to have quick Lunch in Picniq. This first time experience was brilliant. Mushroom Toast was fantastic, fries - excellent, Coffee Creme Brulee - mind blowing, especially with the Espresso, which was from great quality coffee. This is super welcoming place where definitely I would like to return and try also dinner. Menu is relatively small, however that is even better, because the quality was simply Bellisimo!

Amazing experience. Great food, delicious sweets, sides and drinks & a very cozy atmosphere. Kids friendly (outside playground and plenty of space) and probably the best acoustics inside of any cafe/restaurant ever.

Visited on February 7, 2026. It was a nice experience, good tasty food and plenty of it. good committed service. cozy atmosphere. definitely worth a visit. Was completely unknown to me despite knowing the area. Deserves to come to light.

Cozy restaurant in Valbyparken. Large terrace with the possibility of outdoor dining. Cozy, nicely decorated rooms. Delicious food, friendly service.
