Was here at 2pm on Sunday. Sat outside; nice, quiet atmosphere where people chatted around us. Tasty food, fair prices and not least smiling, welcoming and sweet service. It was so cozy and nice that we also had coffee and cake before we left again.

We had our wedding dinner and party at Picnic at the beginning of September, and everything was truly amazing! 😊 The location itself is absolutely beautiful, set right in the middle of the park and surrounded by nature. We loved the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and the beautiful setting both inside and outside. Every dish was delicious and of excellent quality, and the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and professional throughout the evening. The owner was also fantastic to work with from the very beginning. He was professional, quick to respond, very accommodating to all our needs, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. He came up with great ideas for our wedding dinner and created a very thorough plan, which made us feel from the start that we could trust him and that everything would be taken care of perfectly. We had such a wonderful experience and could not recommend Picnic more highly to anyone looking for a beautiful place to host a special event! 😊

Great spot in Valbyparken with a cosy atmosphere. What really stood out was the genuinely friendly and welcoming service. Everything we had was simple but very tasty, with good portions, fair prices and good coffee. I’d happily come back on a sunny day and try more of the menu.

So this place served the best food we ate in 1 week of holiday travel to Copenhagen. The overall atmosphere is relaxed comfortable. The menu is not extensive but once you taste the food you can see it’s about doing more with less. Service is great, lovely staff. Prices are ok also. Overall you should go out of your way to try it. Have the aubergine with honey miso. It’s very good.

Picniq is a fantastic place with a perfect location, really good food and a professional and welcoming staff. We had our wedding at Picniq and it was a pleasure from start to finish. Communication was good throughout, the food was fantastic and the staff really made a difference and helped create a very special day for us. We can highly recommend Picniq, both as a cozy place where you can enjoy food and drinks on their lovely terrace, but also as a venue for a wedding or other special event.

Great place for lunch, brunch or even music in the evenings. Dogs are welcome on the terrace.

Now I have to go back to the keys because we had our traditional summer lunch at Picniq again. It was lovely to sit outside under Picniq's parasols in the city's wonderful breathing space - the lovely large open Valbypark. It is also not unimportant that my team and I, as usual, had a really nice gastronomic experience. Gradually, I have been to Picniq quite a few times with business contacts. It is great that 'out in the countryside' in Valby can offer business contacts a nice gastronomic experience compared to their usual business restaurants in the city. My review from Christmas 2024: My company is not far from Valbyparken, so I wanted to try Picniq. In that context, I needed to contact the place in connection with my reservation and Jan Fruergaard wrote back immediately with a really good tip. It was exemplary good advance service. It made me raise my expectations. Fortunately, we were not disappointed, because we were very well received and had a tasty, wonderfully untraditional Christmas menu. The starter was a fine salted trout, which was a little too small to really enjoy. Then came a super delicious chicken rillette, it could do something and had tones of ambition in the kitchen, which has the potential to move up into higher gastronomy. The main course was some delicious, both crispy and juicy duck legs. It was complemented by a delicate pommes Anne with a layer of caramel and sesame seeds, a high-quality replacement for Christmas's tedious browned potatoes. True to tradition, it ended with a rice mande, definitely on the good side, but compared to the rest, there is potential for development for next Christmas. I'm already looking forward to it. Good value for your money, so I can only recommend going out in the dark in Valbyparken and visiting this little gem before it gets overrun.
