Food tastes good and the staff is friendly.

Beautiful maximalist decor. The food is prepared by many fast cooks and served by equally fast and sweet waiters. The food is good for the money. My prawns were perfectly cooked, the rice heart-shaped and spicy as I like it. But all dishes can be adjusted in taste, both in terms of type of meat or tofu and not least in terms of chili strength. I asked for strength 3/5 and it was pretty strong. They have many options and all the food was piping hot when it arrived at the table. solid Thai food without frills

The food is good and pretty authentic. Service was decent. My warning is that the waiter/waitress will add on a 15% tip on the POS Terminal without telling you. So, I would look very carefully at what is charged to the actual number on the bill before you ok the charges.

Mega cool experience. Probably the best Thai place in North Europe. The staff are super nice and easy to communicate with.

Lovely fresh Thai food, we tried the fried rice, pad Thai, prawns and spring rolls. All very fresh and very tasty. Great service.

I recently visited this restaurant with my friends for dinner, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. The tom yum soup, a dish known for its vibrant, tangy, and spicy flavors, was shockingly bland. It lacked the essential balance of sourness and spicyness that defines authentic Thai cuisine. Instead, it tasted watered down and uninspired—missing the fragrant notes of lemongrass, kaffir lime, and chili that make tom yum a classic favorite. Next, I ordered the classic basil chicken with rice, expecting a comforting plate of fragrant, spicy chicken stir-fried with fresh basil leaves. Instead, what arrived was a completely different dish—chicken stir-fried with bamboo shoots. While bamboo shoots can be enjoyable in the right context, this substitution was disappointing and unwelcome. The flavors didn’t resemble the bold and aromatic profile of the Thai basil chicken, the dish felt bland and uninspired. To make matters worse, the service left a sour taste in our mouths. When we politely requested to split the bill, the staff’s reaction was less than welcoming. Their demeanor shifted noticeably, making us feel uncomfortable for what should be a standard request. Additionally, there was an unexpected extra charge when we opted to pay by card, which was not mentioned beforehand. Overall, the combination of subpar food and disappointing service made for a less-than-enjoyable dining experience. While I appreciate the challenges of running a restaurant, basic courtesy and authentic preparation go a long way in ensuring customer satisfaction.

Amigos, conozco mi comida tailandesa y este lugar era mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. Tenía pollo al curry panang y estaba muy sabroso, buenos sabores.

Tuvimos una muy buena comida en Poonchai. Compartimos un curry rojo (elección de proteínas todos el mismo precio - elegimos el pato) , un plato de fideos fritos y una cerveza de barril Tuborg. El arroz con jazmín fue incluido con nuestro curry. Los platos eran muy abundantes y nuestro pedido era suficiente para 2. Aunque los precios de los restaurantes en todas partes de Copenhague son muy altos, encontramos Poonchai era en realidad relativamente razonable. El servicio era bueno y muy amable en este restaurante de gestión familiar. La decoración es preciosa y uno puede comer fuera o dentro. Recomendado. Volveré aquí cuando regrese a Copenhague.
