POPL Burger København

It's reputed to be the best burger in Copenhagen. Great meat, sauce, and fries.

When we were at nona projects’s store to try their products we were advised to try popl’s vegeterian burger. I have to say it surprised me, very tasty burger, one of a kind. There is a bit of waiting but it’s ok, it’s worth it. We didn’t try the regular cheeseburger so I can’t talk about that!!

Fantastic burger. Pricy but worth it

It saddens me to say that POPL is no longer good. I've been there several times over the last few years and both of my visits in 2025 have been a disappointment. The lion's mane sandwich is okay, but nowhere near excellent. The quinoa veggie burger used to be amazing and is now so bad, I didn't even finish mine. And I've tried all of the side dishes and most of them make the impression of "we're trying too hard". Even the fries were over-seasoned. This place used to be great, but now, it's easy to find a better burger (veggie or not) elsewhere in the city.

Popl is a unique opportunity to soak up the Noma atmosphere. If you only value the price of a burger, it won't be worth it. We really liked the burgers (the cheeseburger and the aged beef), the fries with sauces, and the differently marinated tomatoes. The desserts are a 10/10. We were assigned to the Argentinian waiter, who was very friendly and provided us with guidance at all times. We'll definitely come back.

The burgers were great, the best one we have tried in the Copenhagen. Almost as good as Picnic mingle & fun burgers. We loved the spice mix on the fries. We took Danish ox tomato and stuffed courgette as sides dishes. Courgette was very good but the tomato was plain and didnt have that intense taste of late summer tomato, it was more watery. Before we came everyone recommended us to not miss a POPL desserts. There where two options on the menu, one summer berries plate with some ice cream and the other one elderflower souffle with berries and vanilla cream. We took souffle. It was ok, but nothing special. Maybe we expected too much from the dessert as lot of people mentioned it. It is still a burger place, and the best one in town

in one word: mid in a few words more: Im sure at some point this really was the best burger in the city. Unfortunately, it seems to suffer from what every trendy copenhagen spot suffers from; as popularity goes up, quality goes down. I waited 45 minutes for the burger because they were so backlogged on orders, and then when i finally got it it was made with no love at all. Id rather have Jagger which is kinda wild. Imma call this phenomenon "The Copenhagen Culture Choke" or CCC, if you will. Some other places that have suffered the CCC are Gasoline Grill and Poulette. Once great, now, well, just read the review again.
