Prolog has become my favorite cafe in Copenhagen. I loved both this branch and their other branch in the city. Delicious coffee and fantastic baked goods. However, the baked goods sell out early.

Tried all 3 locations during my time in Denmark. For some context, I’ve worked in specialty coffee for 14 years. Prolog is the best coffee in Copenhagen. All 3 locations had a different coffee on espresso, and all of them were incredible. Balanced, but also with unique flavor notes. Tried a coffee that’a from a region only accessible by horseback, insane. Washed anaerobic? Crazy balanced, and the geisha was so bright. They even came with little info bookmarks which are so cool to read! The mugs that the espresso came in were incredible too. Bought two bags to take home.

In my Scandinavian specialty coffee adventure of 2026, Prolog stands out as absolutely exceptional. They roast and brew amazing coffee and in store they are extremely knowledgeable and care about their product. I had an amazing geisha espresso today.

18/08/2026: I have been to BRUS many times over the last few years and this place was 10/10 years ago, and somehow has gotten even better. The beers are an obvious highlight-- so many of the beers on draft are brewed on-site, and they are always excellent. Don't miss the 1-2 cask ales often available as well! They also have lots cocktails and beverages available for anyone not in to beer. Aside from drinks, their food menu is stellar. They have an open kitchen, and you can tell that there is a lot of passion behind their food, which I would say is like elevated pub food. There is a dining area, and other areas outside and by the bar-- it could easily be a spot for a dinner, or a place to meet up with friends for drinks and a casual bite. BRUS is always high on my recommendation list!

20/08/2026: The best smørrebrød I've had in Copenhagen. Service was exceptional. Reserve your spot on their website so you don't have to wait in line.
19/08/2026: The cafe is very small and as a party of 3 we squeezed on a table for 2. Service was good. We enjoyed the smørrebrød. Typical prices. There was no toilet on site for customers.
