Provence Aalborg

Yesterday my husband and I visited this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. The service was poor – we did not feel welcome at all. The waiter knocked over my small handbag that was hanging on the back of the chair twice, and both times she failed to apologise, even though she clearly turned around and saw the situation. We were also not asked if the food was tasty or if we were missing anything, even though we left quite a bit of food on our plates. Unfortunately the food was also disappointing – especially the clam sauce, which was a complete disaster. It is very sad that such a special day for us ended this way.

A fantastic restaurant. The food and service were top notch. Can only be recommended from a food and wine nerd like me 😁

Provence is the kind of place that makes you feel a little happy to be in. Cozy surroundings, dim lighting and an atmosphere that feels like a mix of French country cuisine and grandparents on a city trip. The food is quite nice – nothing to write home about, but tasty and honest. And for the price? Hard to complain. A relaxed place where you get more than you pay for. Not groundbreaking, but definitely nice.
