I don't think the previous reviews are justified. The lavish lunch buffet was incredibly delicious, with plenty of choice. Service was very friendly. Large drinks really mean large, 0.75 liters... so the higher price is acceptable.

We went there for dinner with 19 people for our 60th birthday. We were looking for a special location and had already reserved seating from Germany. The place is decorated in a typical steakhouse style and offers plenty of space. The staff is friendly and cheerful; we had a great time and will definitely return for our next vacation in Denmark in 2027. Thank you for the excellent service and pleasant conversation. We sat outside and were served quickly. The service was relatively unemotional, but OK, everyone is different. The food came quickly. It was good, and the prices were perfectly reasonable. Unfortunately, no one came after we had our food. After a long wait, we went to the counter to pay.

I never usually write reviews, but I really enjoyed the food, and since I don't understand the complaining, I just had to write something. Sure, tastes differ, and the staff probably does too, depending on the visit, but it's still really strange to read such differences. We were there two days ago and had the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet for 139kr per person. What you get here for 20€ is absolutely fantastic. When we walked in, a young man greeted us and asked us in English (but he understood German) if we wanted the buffet and showed us a table. We were the only ones there at that point (12:30pm), and the buffet was just being freshly prepared. There's nothing bad to say about the service. It was attentive, quick, and checked on the guests and the buffet. The chef was very nice; we exchanged a few words; the kitchen was open and all (btw: we couldn't detect any smells), and the food...really great. Tender spareribs with a fantastic liquid marinade, typical Danish liver pâté, roast pork, bacon with a puffed crust, and one of the most amazing pickled herring fillets I've ever eaten. The homemade sauces were also absolutely fantastic. Although they were originally jus, so they were very strong; anyone who drowns their food will not be happy. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the à la carte menu; it looked very tasty for the other guests, and everyone ate it up. If we're in the area again, this is a must-try, because for us, it was one of the best meals of our vacation here in Sondervig.

Delicious and quick, freshly prepared, on the table

My husband and I have enjoyed coming to this restaurant for years, as we can hardly get better burgers at home. It's one of the highlights of our vacation. Even with takeout orders, everyone is very friendly, and you can't tell the quality is lacking. We haven't tried the buffet yet—it's just not our thing—but it always looks very appealing and clean. We also don't understand the bad reviews, which is why we want to share our impressions. We'll be coming back to eat here next year.

First, I want to say that I don't understand the negative reviews. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our table. We didn't have a reservation. The buffet was appealing and plentiful. There was something for every taste. The food was constantly being refilled.

We had a wonderful stay at this restaurant! In addition to the fantastic location, we would especially like to highlight the incredibly friendly and attentive staff, who genuinely take care of their guests. The buffet was plentiful and delicious – a huge compliment to the chef for the perfectly prepared meat dishes. Everything was truly spot-on, and our personal highlight was the whiskey sauce. We highly recommend this restaurant – and as an added bonus: dogs are welcome here. We'd love to come back!
