Actually a nice safari park, but it is too difficult to find your way around, and the animals are too far apart to reach everything during the short opening hours.
The good thing about Ree Park Safari is that there are some nice hanging walking paths in the treetops, from where you can experience, among others, the lions, wild dogs and leopards. The "savannah" also works well with good views of, among others, rhinos, giraffes, impalas and wildebeests. You can also get close to the small monkeys and lemurs by going into their cage. However, the monkeys were nowhere to be found when we were there. In general, the area is lush and more interesting and wilder than a traditional zoo.
What doesn't work about the park is the combination of the fact that it is difficult to find your way around, and that the opening hours are quite short. There is simply no proper map of the park. What there is is very messy and difficult to find your way around. It looks like it was printed on a cheap home printer, and the large overview maps that are available are quite few and just as bad. At the same time, it is only open from 10-16, which is a full three hours shorter than, for example, Copenhagen Zoo, where there is shorter time between animals. Randers Regnskov is also only open from 10-16, but here there is also much shorter time between animals.
The poor maps and the short opening hours make it quite difficult to get all the way around, and you spend quite a lot of time wading around - in the admittedly nice surroundings - without seeing very many animals.
If you want to see the animals, you might consider paying an extra 60 kr per person to sit in a small train that takes you around some of the park - certainly not all of it. Then you also have to drive in four-wheel drive vehicles. But we realized too late that these were really the only option to get around the park properly. And they shouldn't be. You should be able to walk around.
Maybe start with the train ride or the four-wheel drive if you want to pay extra for it and try to get an overview, and then select a few animals you want to see on foot for a better, more peaceful experience.

Do yourself a favor and take this experience. They are simply amazing and the animals come before the tourists. We really enjoyed it.

A really beautiful park, definitely worth a visit. We booked both the safari and the train ride. Both tours were conducted in Danish and English and were well worth it.

Super nice to be there as always 🙂 It's really crazy that it costs around 6000;kr for an overnight stay in one of their cabins where you might see some animals 🫣 But you can book a trip south and dive with turtles etc for a week all inclusive 😎

We went there as a family. It's a very nice, clean park where you can easily spend the whole day. You can get really close to many of the animals, which is absolutely amazing for the kids.
The Safari Range Rover tour was pretty cool, but of course, it depends on the animals and whether they'll come close to the vehicles.
The food prices are a bit steep in my opinion, but you can easily take breaks anywhere and eat your own food.

I have just visited Ree Park Safari, and I am left with an incredibly positive and heartwarming experience. As a guest, it is a real pleasure to experience a park where the well-being and natural behavior of the animals are clearly put in the first place. Natural habitats: The large savannas and well-thought-out facilities allow the animals to develop their natural instincts. It was fantastic to see them forage, hunt or relax in surroundings that are so reminiscent of their natural environment.
Health and joy of life: The animals appear incredibly well-groomed, healthy and harmonious. You quickly sense that a great deal of professional work is put into their daily stimulation and care.
Space for privacy: I noticed that the facilities are designed in such a way that the animals always have the opportunity to retreat and get some peace if they need it. This shows a deep respect for the individual animal's premises.
