Incredibly delicious food and lovely place.

Impressive service. I had some special needs, which they handled really well, and even seemed eager to do so.

👏🍷 Applaus Aalborg – standing ovation… with a slight false note 🍷👏 The name promises a lot – Applaus. And yes… there were moments when you sat and thought: “Now we’re going to applaud.” But it’s a bit like a piano where one key is out of tune 🎹 It doesn’t ruin the concert – but you notice it every time. The facade? It still looks like a place where the dish of the day and a Tuborg Classic are the main attraction 🍺 And that’s actually a shame, because in the back there’s a kitchen that actually tries to play the fine gastronomic keys. We went all-in and took “FULDE APPLAUS” for 1,250 kr. 💸 And it was… good. Really good actually. The variation was there. The technique was there. The ambitions were there. But the final “wow”? It was a bit lacking. It feels more like a shooting star than a Michelin star 🌟 You are happy – but not blown away. On the other hand: one waiter deserves a standing ovation 👏 Sharp, present and in control of both wine and hospitality. He carried the experience like a soloist in an orchestra… …unfortunately flanked by two colleagues who seemed as if they had been cast that same morning 🎭 There was a little stumbling, a little forgetting and a little fumbling – and suddenly it felt less like “premiere night” and more like “dress rehearsal with the audience”. There is an indecisiveness about the whole thing. The place wants something big – but doesn’t quite hit the same note in terms of decor and service. It’s not casual gastronomy. It's more like this... "we want to be nice, but also a little chill - and now we're a little unsure of what we are" 😅 And at that price you expect the whole team to play clean 🎶 Because right now it feels like a nice orchestra, where the trumpeter just needs to read the notes through 🎺 All in all a nice evening - good food, good intentions. But for 1,250 kr. you expect a little more than half a round of applause and one strong player on the team. ⭐🍽️🍽️🍽️🍽️ 4 out of 5 plates (the last one is just missing the last note and a little better interaction)

You have to book a table. Otherwise there probably won't be any space. It's a very small place, but actually quite cozy. The waiters were really nice and friendly. The food was nice, but more fancy than good. Their juices and cocktails were delicious. The toilets were very small and a bit too cramped.

Simply spectacular. They treat every detail with meticulous attention to detail. Each dish is an explosion of flavor. Truly a perfect experience. 100% recommended.
