Got burned with a lunch date and what then?. Found this wonderful place on the harbor. Delicious fried pork with wonderful sauce and fantastic potatoes. Great. The wife got a delicious and well-prepared shrimp cocktail. Both dishes in a suitable size.

We have been coming here for 15 years now, via family visits in Hals, and after this time here in Sept. 2025 it has never been better. How nice and good it is to see full tables and lots of good food being served across the counter. We will do a lot to support old Carl. Of course we come from Zealand but would love to come again and again and again. Come and support🤸 Cheers to the future.

We visited here several times during our vacation. Restaurant is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration; I'd describe it more as a good grilled snack bar. The location by the harbor is ideal, and you can easily sit outside or inside, although the ambiance is rather understated. It's a self-service restaurant with a pager, and you order at the counter. The menu is relatively limited, but there should be something for everyone. We ate Stjerneskud, fish fillet with fries, and also Stegt Flæsk. The Stjerneskud wasn't bad at all and was very well presented. On the other hand, the fish fillet was really only at the level of a fast-food restaurant and didn't look particularly fancy with the tartar sauce and fries on the plate. The same goes for the Stegt Flæsk, which tasted decent, even with fresh boiled potatoes, but was very sparsely presented on the plate. At least the food is relatively inexpensive. The beer from Fuglsang is, of course, great and a nice change of pace. As I said, if the food were presented with more care, perhaps with fresh parsley or a bit of salad, it would significantly improve the experience. But it's certainly worth recommending for those with a light appetite.

Nice value for money. Good spot for eating outside if the weather permits.

Ordered kebab mix. Large plate of kebab meat, fries and salad. Could have had less fries and more meat. Tasted just fine. Neat and nice premises, very good toilet. Pleasant and quick service.

There is a new tenant and it is very noticeable. The quality of the food is excellent, you can immediately tell from the taste of the food that they have a handle on making good Danish food. Highly recommend their fried pork👍

Så godt med nye ejere. En gang stegt flæsk med persillesovs var som i gl dage, dejligt at komme tilbage til CarlFrederik, fantastisk beliggenhed. Rimelige priser. God og høflig betjening. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen.

Lovely restaurant/grill bar, with the option to sit both inside and outside. Cozy atmosphere and good service. Very delicious food and plenty of it 😃 fried pork was really fantastic. Will definitely come back.

Deilig sted med uteservering og inne kos ,flott utsikt til båt havna og masse å titte på ellers .Det er nye eiere i år !!!så de gamle anmeldelsene er ikke relevante !!Kjempehyggelige jenter i kassen , man bestiller der .Nydelige frikadeller med potetsalat (stor porsjon !)Anbefaler absolutt stedet og vi kommer plutselig til bake .Ønsker dere masse lykke til fremover 🇳🇴🌞🤗
