Just ate at Carl-Frederik's tonight. Had a great portion of fried pork with everything. Rarely had such good fried pork. Very very crispy and a clean taste. The sauce was also fantastic. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio was excellent. The staff were very friendly.

About the mains: The burgers are good (we had the bacon ones), the Fish n Chip is okay, but the "Fiskefilet" was horrible... the fish itself was as thin as a napkin and didnt taste like much. You could really just taste the breading. If youre gonna settle for fish pick the Fish n Chips but the burgers are still a superior choice overall to me. Dont expect too much, though, theyre decent fast food grade level burgers but nothing fancy. About the sides, the fries were good, theyre not housemade but fried well and not oversalted The aesthetic of the restaurant was very cozy, I liked it. I feel like this could be a great spot for chatting and drinking, imo you shouldnt mainly come for the food. The design definitely makes up somewhat for the menu. Interior is nicely decorated and since youre directly next to the haven, theres plenty of window seats with great views.

Good food, large portions (easily shared by two people). I had two fish fillets and fries.

A simple but good self-service restaurant with typical Danish dishes. Back here after 8 years. Still highly recommended. The food is good quality and the service is friendly. We'll be back.

The best roasted pork and parsley sauce I've ever tasted!

I wish the best for the place, but there is a very varying standard for the food served. Roast pork with real potatoes is delicious and can definitely be eaten. But steak sandwiches with lots of cold sauce are not so delicious. The same can be said about minced beef with bearnaise, where the steak is paper thin with a spicy, artificial taste. I don't understand why, for example, the minced beef is not handmade for their dishes - that would raise the level enormously.

Great location along the promenade to the harbour and a nicely renovated outdoor terrace with plenty of shade. A pleasant spot for a beer. Unfortunately, the food was very underwhelming. Our nacho platter was basically sliced chicken breast with melted cheese on top. Simple is fine, but this felt unimaginative and lacking any real care. A good place for drinks, less so for food.

Nice place on the harbor in Hals, especially when the weather is good, like today. They usually have good food, but today I only had something to drink.
