Restaurant Colosseo-Pizzeria da Niko Varde

20/03/2024: We came across this restaurant by chance and spontaneously decided to grab something for dinner there. Even from the outside, the store didn't make a particularly appealing impression - the facade was rather inconspicuous, and the interior also appeared quite simple and minimalist. The prices were a little higher than expected, but we didn't let that put us off and ordered takeout for our group of seven. When the food came, we immediately noticed that the portions were rather small. To be honest, you could definitely have eaten more. The taste was mid-range - not bad, but not particularly outstanding either, especially considering the price. At higher prices you somehow expect a certain quality or sophistication, which was unfortunately somewhat lacking here. Nevertheless, I have to emphasize that the employees were very nice and the service was quick. The food was ready quickly and we were served politely. That at least made the visit a little more pleasant, even if the food didn't quite live up to our expectations. It would have been nice if the taste experience could match the friendliness of the staff, but unfortunately that wasn't quite the case. Overall, the store left us with a mixed impression. While we appreciated the service and friendliness of the staff, we couldn't help but notice that the food was a bit disappointing, especially relative to the prices. Maybe it's worth visiting again and trying other dishes, but based on our first experience, we probably wouldn't necessarily go back in a heartbeat. Maybe you can try the buffet. 3-4 stars from us 🌟
