Whenever we're in Ballen, we always go to the Dokken. As a former shipyard, it's located right on the water. Even if you sit inside near the large windows, the view of the marina and the Baltic Sea is fantastic. The food is very well prepared and delicious. Their handling of a complaint was exemplary, prompt, and uneventful! We'd love to come back! 😃

Delicious restaurant, cozy with a ship in the middle, it gave a good atmosphere. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We booked a table, which I recommend since there were many. But the noise level was low. The starfish was delicious and there was not a finger to put. No expense was spared on the fish. The Wiener schnitzel was also delicious, although a little too much horseradish, which took over. I can only recommend the place to everyone who comes to Samsø.

Great place with a perfect location in Ballen, Samsø. Fresh and polite service with funny comments. We got 2 pieces of really delicious open sandwiches.

Dieses Restaurant besticht auf den ersten Blick durch seine Lage direkt am Hafen von Ballen,seine beiden Terrassen und sein schönes lnnen-Ambiente.Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas.Wir entschieden uns für den Krabbencocktail und einen Burger, und waren sehr zufrieden.

Lækker mad og god service. Vi fik kartoffelsalat m. Frikadeller & smørrebrød. Flot anrettet og smagte fantastisk. Kan varmt anbefale restaurant Dokken.

30/07/2026: Absolutely excellent place with really good food. We ordered a picnic basket to share and there was both plenty and good taste. Shrimp, salmon, mackerel, plaice, shrimp, aioli fish cakes, salad, greens, bread of libitium and much more so that you can put together and taste it yourself. It all tasted heavenly and the atmosphere and the staff are top shelf. The price is also affordable and our general impression of what we could see is that you get a lot for your money and you don't leave hungry here. Definitely a place that can be recommended, however it must be said that on busy days you should not come all the way to closing time as they only buy what is available, so it sells out when it is empty.
