Restaurant Flammen Herning

Really good place to eat. Highly recommend the place.

Got a table that we had reserved and there was a flag on the table because my friend had a birthday. It took a long time before the waiter came to our table. So we decided to order our drinks via the QR code. Then 5 minutes later the waiter came and asked if we wanted drinks. We said we had ordered via the QR code. She apologized for the wait. The waiter could see that there was a flag on the table and said that whoever had a birthday eats for half price. After we were full we had to pay so she forgot to give the discount, if I didn't say anything we would pay full price. So just pay attention to that if you are celebrating a birthday at Flammen. But otherwise it was a really nice evening with good food and a good atmosphere.

We were there early and the service was top notch.

Good selection of meat and side dishes, starters were almost empty at 6pm when we arrived and the salad buffet was also a bit run down. But the meat was delicious. The dessert buffet is advertised as magnificent, it is not, it is just a small cake buffet with a few pieces of cake, a few mousses, pancakes and ice cream. But ok for children. A cozy place to eat but not unbeatable gastronomy. A nice children's restaurant

The food is as expected, American inspired and very heavy on fat and starch, the salad bar is good, the meat is excellent but you can be a little unlucky with the long queue for the meat. Service is okay, normal friendly but only payment at the exit no payment at the table, they could be better at their collection and then I once experienced that they lost drink orders for a party of 20 people so we waited half an hour before they found out and asked us to get drinks at the bar. The place is a little too bright and sterile, and a little too loud. But their target audience is probably not the cozy dinner either.

Surprised by the food. My first visit and it was actually quite okay. Lamb was cooked pink like the other cuts were almost perfectly cooked. 229 kr on a Wednesday night and eat all you can🤷‍♂️. Good thing it's not michelin but it's fine for the price and you have to remember that💪

Søde unge mennesker som smiler og er i godt humør. God mad, god atmosfære, hyggelig stemning og fornuftige priser. What not to like?
