Very fast service. The speed alone was worth a star. Their fried pork and parsley sauce tasted great and it was ad libitum, so you couldn't complain about the quantity. However, I have had both better and worse fried pork. All in all, a good experience that I can highly recommend.

Hvide Hest – fantastic location, good service… and parsley sauce with an identity crisis Hvide Hest may have one of the best locations on Bakken. Up high, close to the stage, large terraces and lots of sun. Everything is set up for a perfect lunch experience. Atmosphere & location We got a table on the upper terrace in lovely sunshine, and here you can really feel the classic Bakken atmosphere. Inside, the experience continues with old Bakken motifs on the walls and lots of nostalgic charm. The food I had been looking forward to Denmark's national dish: 👉 Roast pork with parsley sauce. The pork was actually really good: crispy juicy well-done But the sauce… It wasn't parsley sauce. It was nutmeg sauce It seemed like someone had dropped 3-4 whole nutmegs directly into the pot. What is it with restaurants and the need to “jazz up” our national dish? When I mentioned it, they happily immediately offered to make a new sauce – a big plus for that. The new version was better, but still lacked a bit of depth and flavor. My wife had potato soup and pork roast. The potato soup was nice, but the red cabbage had been given a touch of licorice, which didn’t quite go down well. And the rinds were a bit bland. Beer The beer selection is very limited. But: A cold Tuborg in the sun on Bakken still does something. Service The biggest plus of the day. The service was really welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout. Overall experience A fantastic place to sit in the sun and enjoy the Bakken atmosphere. But maybe come more for the atmosphere than for the great gastronomic experience. Conclusion Beautiful location and excellent service. Just be careful if you order parsley sauce – it may have been trained by a jazz musician

We often visit Hvide Hest when we are on the hill. They have classic dishes and there are good options to quench our thirst, and we often sit there and enjoy drinks and good company, after a long day of running around and trying out the rides. The staff is super nice, and it is typically the same waiters we have met over the years, and they are so nice.
