We had the luncheon charcuterie, and it really was a treat. Artfully arranged small stacks of fish, meat, cheese, and dessert. If you enjoy exceptional food, you shouldn't miss Kaos!

I went there rather spontaneously, simply because eating out in Denmark has always frustrated me, and I wanted to try something "better." I knew I'd be spending more money than usual, but the attempt was a success. The small menu essentially offers a large and a small set menu, each with a choice of fish or meat for the main course. I chose the large fish menu and was surprised by a firework display of unusual culinary delights. A bit of a show was also part of the experience. Accompanied by an overwhelmingly friendly staff, it was a real treat. It would be nice if the menu was available in English as well as Danish, but that's nitpicking. Thank you for a great evening. The Danes can cook, after all.

Both the food and the team at Kaos are great. They are local and use local ingredients („these potatoes are from my little brother“) to achieve great results.
They are warm and welcoming. The dishes are refined to a level seldom seen in Denmark.
Miss this little gem at your own peril.

You can taste the love and passion of Team KAOS when they tell you a culinary story of Langeland, Gamle Dansk and modern Danish cuisine. The Signature Menu was a fantastic experience and complemented by their nice and honest wine list.
If you sail by Langeland I strongly recommend to you to stop in Lohals and enjoy Team KAOS food and atmosphere!

However, keep up the delicious experience.
Here, the details and the senses are really pampered at this small "family restaurant". However, it is not like down south where it is "grandmother" who is behind the pots but young Benedikte, which probably shines through in the interior and the setting.
Brormand provides competent service and serving to everyone and the youngest family member of 13 years also helps - with the dishes.
And as others have written, don't be fooled by the decor with cheap IKEA furniture and the plastic flowers in the ceiling. They are also in the risk zone when the food is expertly flambéed at the table.
They should actually have a Michelin star, because it really means that the food is worth taking a detour for, and you have to do that to get here to "land's end".

Sublime gastronomic experience!
It's damn far away, but it's worth the trip for EVERYONE.. otherwise, stay nearby and book a table 2 days in a row! and then you can also enjoy one more glass:-)

If you want to experience euphoria for your taste buds, visit this place! and there are wines/drinks for every taste!...
The 6-course menu is incredibly cheap considering the quantity and ingredients to be enjoyed!... do yourself a big favor and visit this place in Lohals!.. we will definitely visit the place again!
but book a table well in advance during the high season, because it's a cozy little restaurant with few seats inside and it's great to be able to sit and enjoy the fantastic dishes and actually be able to talk over the table without interruptions!
A gem in Lohals that we hope is here to stay and will remain where it is :-)

Don't be fooled by the fake plants in the ceiling! The food is fantastic and the service is too! You can feel the passion for the food they serve and the great hospitality :) thanks for the food
