Restaurant Klintholm Vordingborg

A fairly anonymous brick building with a faded sign, but the impression is deceptive. A rustic terrace overlooking the harbor, chairs without cushions. There's no Danish draft beer. An excellent buffet, including many fish delicacies, includes 7-8 varieties of pickled herring, salmon, and fish cakes. Delicious: the pâtés with asparagus and chicken. A selection of cheeses. We ate here on a Monday shortly after 12:00; the buffet was freshly prepared. Clean restrooms. Price for two people with one beer and two coffees, including tip, was 640 DKK.

The buffet was very extensive and delicious. It was fish-heavy (delicious), but even those who don't like fish will be satisfied. The atmosphere inside is simple, but sitting outside on the terrace and looking out at the sea has a simple charm. The service was friendly, and the cook explained and described everything in German (or English). An all-you-can-eat buffet that's worth it if you're really hungry and you can sit outside.

Delicious buffet...I enjoyed the many different and interesting herring...nice with different green salads...really good tartelette...crispy fish fillet... Nice that the kitchen kept replenishing the buffet. There was more to choose from than I could eat. The hummus was a bit dry (lacked both oil and garlic). The pork roast had a nice crispy skin, but the meat was boring (maybe boiled before frying). Missed a sweet ending and a choice of different coffees - cappuccino, Caffè latte and espresso Super nice that dogs are allowed on the terrace...and that the waiter comes with water for the dog.

Delicious food at a good price. Monkfish and licorice herring are recommended.

7 people for lunch. Czech beer of really good quality. Buffet with very delicate, home-made dishes. I must emphasize drowned herring, licorice herring, devil's herring (must be tasted). Very delicious green salads. Super good bread. Not to forget the few but excellent cheeses. tasteful and well-tempered. In other words, a Danish lunch from before the end of the world.
