We ate here a week ago, was on the wait list and ended up getting a seat at a community table with other waitlist outcasts. (became quick friends the people at our table all "star" chasers and ended up going out with another couple after - so fun. ) Food and service was amazing. Front of house staff were all great, taller gentleman blonde hair I think, he was maybe in charge of front house, was a boss, knew his wine etc. Chef was amazing, one thing I loved was chef came out multiple times to serve us dishes and explain things. Always love when the chefs take the time to come out. Amazing meal and experience all around!

Got lucky with a reservation at Koan during my recent trip to CPH. I had put my name on the waitlist and the restaurant was able to accommodate me on a sharing table.
The tasting menu comprised around 15 courses including the amuse bouche and petit four courses. The overall meal lasted about 4 hours. From a personal opinion perspective, most of the dishes were a 4/5, with only 1-2 courses being a 5/5.
I did not have any drinks. But there are multiple pairing options (wine pairing, cocktail pairing, non-alcoholic pairing) for those who are interested.
Service was very good. The restaurant was kind enough to cater to a specific allergy I have.
All in all, a good meal but not in my top 3 Michelin star meals in CPH.

The food was very tasty, but unfortunately the table wasn't in a good location. The waiters kept bringing out wine, and the wind was blowing right in our direction. My napkin also fell to the floor in front of the waiter and wasn't replaced.

Beautiful artistic foods. Unique delicious tastes. The stern and serious facial expressions on some staff members (not all) did not create a relaxed environment. Could benefit from the slogan ‘service with a smile’. It’s the secret ingredient that can help to create a more enjoyable experience.

It's a wonderful experience. Korean based 2-star Michelin restaurant. Some of the tables (near the entrance) have a great view of the open kitchen, allowing to witness the preparation of the dishes and the immaculate choreography of kitchen and service staff. Service is very friendly and attentive. The chef is very present, keeping a very attentive look to customers for the best experience, very customer-centric. The dishes are immensely creative, with many intricate details, textures and flavours.
We accompanied the meal with a Sool mixed pairing, alternating Sool and non-alcoholic beverages. Probably the best option as we felt a purely Sool pairing would be too heavy. Wine, Prestige wine and Champagne pairings are also available. Judging from what the neighbouring tables received, they seemed like good options too. We felt that Sool was more fitting to the occasion though. Overall a very positive experience, only slightly disturbed by a noisy table, but admittedly not something the restaurant can do much about.
