MALT serves the best stir-fried tartar we have ever tasted. The balance of flavors, the soft against the crispy. It was SO delicious. Would recommend this place anytime. All the waitresses were smiling, welcoming and attentive. Such a lovely little place.

Wonderful little gem in Köge Stopped for sandwiches and were pleasantly surprised, delicious and innovative. Can definitely recommend stopping by to try their wonderful sandwiches!

Delicious lunch cafe, perfectly located close to the square, but still secluded. Delicious open sandwiches? Where absolutely nothing is missing.

I had three different types of open sandwiches and they tasted absolutely fantastic. The price is on the high end though – actually a bit above what you pay for similar quality in inner Copenhagen. But when the food is this good, I'm happy to pay extra and I'll definitely come back for lunch.

13/07/2026: Fantastic experience at Hugo’s Kælder! The cozy atmosphere in the historic premises, the impressive selection of beers and the friendly service make the place completely unique. There is always a good atmosphere, and you feel really welcome. An absolute must if you visit Køge – We will definitely be back!
