We were pleasantly surprised. We had a veggie burger, currywurst nuggets, and a cheeseburger. Expect a bit of a wait, but you get something really tasty for your money. Great burger bun, crispy fries, and a huge bratwurst with a delicious curry sauce. The staff was super friendly. We'll definitely be back for dinner on our next vacation. 👍🏻😘

We actually came for the fish buffet, which unfortunately wasn't available that day due to a lack of bookings. Instead, there was an excellent 6-course menu. There were various fish and seafood dishes. The selection was fantastic. Everything was beautifully presented and very tasty. A very good alternative to the buffet. We didn't lack for anything. The portions were huge. The ambiance was also very pleasant, as you have a sea view. The waiter was extremely friendly and explained everything clearly to us. We would happily come back even without the buffet.

It's one of the best fish restaurants in the area. The fish buffet, in particular, is sensational, even if it has declined somewhat in recent years.

Went in to order their sirloin steak which is what they have in addition to their fish buffet. I'm not one who usually chooses fish as either the 1st or 2nd choice. Checked out the buffet and decided to try it anyway. Made it through all the dishes and must say that it really put my fear of fish to shame. I would like to highlight the crayfish salad and the cold smoked salmon as being in a class of their own. Absolute recommendation from here and not the last time I visit Niels Juel

Definitely the best restaurant in town. The buffet is exceptionally good. I've rarely had such a delicious meal.

25/11/2025: Yes, cleanliness leaves a little to be desired – the dishes, cutlery, glasses, and overall ambiance are typical Danish. However, the pizza is absolutely delicious; best enjoyed on-site.
24/10/2025: The food was okay. Cleanliness could be improved, both in the restrooms and in the restaurant. I intentionally left my beer glass unused and used the bottle instead. Otherwise, the staff was friendly.

27/12/2025: Excellent service and excellent food. Everything was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. We especially enjoyed the house burger and the chicken burger. Because of our dog, we sat outside. In December, we were sheltered on the terrace and enjoyed fantastic sunshine with a view of the small harbor. Highly recommended :-)
10/12/2025: I got a house burger with an extra steak. Even though the steaks were well-done, they were good and juicy. The dressing, which was homemade, tasted great on the burger. Good thick and crispy cucumber slices and fresh salad. The fries could have been fried a little more, at least for my taste, but they were big and beautiful, and the homemade dill dressing that comes with them tasted absolutely fantastic. A good portion. I definitely didn't leave hungry. It's a fish shop and bistro in one, with a view of the harbor. Nice clean surroundings. Nothing flashy, but it works and is proper, and the service was really good. All in all, a super nice experience.
