The menu shines with creativity - each bite offers something surprising and delightful. However, portion sizes are small enough that you’d need around 4–5 dishes per person to feel even mildly full.
Service-wise, the waitstaff could benefit from a bit more attentiveness.
By the end, we ended up heading out for street food just to tide us over - even though the restaurant was fun and creative, we left hungry.

We had the tasting menu in September 2024 when visiting Denmark, with some adjustments made by the chef to make it halal for myself and my husband. And they kept it normal menu for my in-laws as they are not Muslims. Was very accommodating and friendly staff, they keep your glasses full and stomach satisfied. My father in law recently visited Copenhagen for work, and dined the restaurant again and loved it again. It is also very reasonably priced and very filling. Highly recommended!
It tastes good but you have to look for herring in a heap of curry salt and the chicken from hopballe must have skipped the chicken salad. The others in my party got better food so maybe I was just unlucky

Thank you so much for this wonderful evening. We were there for dinner and had already decided on the menu in advance – when we made the reservation. I was impressed by the uncomplicated, attentive reservation process. It was a relaxed, unfussy arrangement, and then an absolute delight with an excellent dinner and matching wines. The kids had strawberry spritzer – fantastic and out of the ordinary. The dessert was a magnificent finishing touch: fresh strawberries with rhubarb compote and vanilla ice cream! Highly recommended.

A Mexican Facing a Smørrebrød
I came to Palægade, right in the heart of Copenhagen, hungry for tradition —just not mine.
There were no tortillas, no green salsa.
Instead, a dense slice of rye bread, dark as a Nordic winter, topped with perfectly arranged layers of pickled herring, onions, and cream.
Cold —as if the plate knew the weather.
And yet, somehow, it was comforting.
The precision.
The aesthetics.
The respect for every ingredient.
Eating here feels like attending a silent ceremony. Nothing overflows. Nothing is spicy. Nothing screams. It’s another way of understanding the table.
For someone from the land of corn, where everything is shared, mixed, and served hot, this was a quiet shock.
And I learned not to judge by temperature.
It didn’t feel like a full-on taco feast, but I left with a calm belly and a curious soul.

Fantastic Smorebrod in a elegant yet casual setting.
Food, drinks and service were fantastic and they even managed to crank out some "adult"desserts, i.e. not overly sweet, yet super flavoursome.

La comida era deliciosa y las combinaciones interesantes. Elegimos el set de comida para Business Meal ya que éramos un grupo. Cada plato era especial, sin embargo, los hombres encontraron el plato principal, que era la codorniz, inadecuado en cantidad. Por lo demás tuvimos una velada maravillosa con buen ambiente y personal amable.

Dieser Abend war von Anfang bis Ende ein Erlebnis! Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist modern, alle Servicekräfte herzlich und freundlich. Wir sind der Empfehlung gefolgt und haben das 4-Gang-Menu bestellt. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht! Nicht nur geschmacklich war jeder Gang wunderbar sondern auch eine Augenweide. Ganz besonders war das Dessert: Ymer sorbet with pistachio crème, wood sorrel, lemon thyme, and churro with cardamom, ein Traum!
Man sollte auf jeden Fall vorher reservieren, das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht - und fast keine Touristen, was in unsere Augen ein gutes Zeichen ist.
