Basic restaurant, included in the vip package at the castle hotel. My wife wanted cooked fish but got raw fish.

I read the reviews and was pleasantly surprised that people would write such nonsense. Without a reservation, I got a table at 7 p.m. My daughter was happy with the children's menu, and the Lego fries were a hit. My older daughter, my wife, and I ordered a steak with sides. It arrived quickly, even though the restaurant was already full. It was delicious. Prices were comparable to the restaurant in downtown Billung where we had been the day before.

Been here for dinner. Last year they had a buffet option so it was extremely easy to eat at a decent pace for the whole family. This year instead they changed the concept: the buffet is available only for kids and for the adults have only an a la carte menu. Which it wouldn’t be a problem if the service wouldn’t be so terribly slow. It was impossible to keep the same pace for dinner between kids and adults. We ordered two course menu for the adults and a buffet kid (the most expensive portion of fries and cucumbers of my life, considering that our child didn’t like anything else available from there). Our starters arrived at 19.33, when the child was done with dinner and we didn’t get our drink for 20 minutes, so we had to ask twice for them, as obviously our child was desperate for something to drink after over 15 minutes of eating. We booked a table at 19 and dinner was over at almost 21, again not a problem in normal circumstances, but not when kids are around and they have a buffet menu, which was done within 30 minutes. It was a nightmare, as our child was very tired and therefore overactive and reactive, the only thing I wanted was eating fast and put him to sleep as it was a long day with a long journey we went through, to arrive to Legoland. In addition, there is a kids area in the restaurant BUT it’s full of video games…which is not what I allow/want to entertain a child, being myself very careful about screens/screen time in my child routine...so in the end, I entertained the child with the Lego we had in the room and a board game we took from home. The staff at the restaurant is nice and really polite, but the service is embarrassingly slow considering that the target isn’t “adults alone” but families with young kids. I strongly believe they should have been way faster than they were. Overall there’s surely space for improvement. On the positive: Food tasted good and was nicely presented on the plate.

The food was good, but not particularly delicious. The club sandwich had a bit of sweet bread on it, which might have been Danish bread, but it didn't quite complement the rest of the food. The chicken with bacon and lettuce was tasty, but the sauce wasn't as good. Instead of mayonnaise, there was aioli. The shrimp had too much sauce. The bun took some getting used to there as well. The crispy chicken burger was delicious. The service was good, but the price was a bit high. We missed the panoramic view. The hotel looks nice with lots of Lego details. The restaurant is a nice, quiet place to escape the hustle and bustle of Legoland.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and ate three breakfasts and one dinner at the restaurant. Very happy with the food, atmosphere and service. The vegan options were limited, and there was nothing for vegans in the buffet (unlike last year when the chef kindly made us a bespoke vegetable dish), but the main course option and dessert were both delicious (the latter mouthwateringly so - my youngest announced that they don't want to brush their teeth for a week so as not to lose the taste of it!) All in all it's probably closer to 4 stars, but I've given it 5 overall because within its kind (resort restaurants with a captive market) it's the best we've experienced, and the food, whilst predictably overpriced, was actually really good.

Good food And a peaceful atmosphere

The children's buffet dinner was not satisfactory.

The price is high, the food is good—it's Legoland, after all. For dinner, it's best to reserve a table online; for breakfast, it's not absolutely necessary.

Very nice restaurant, the dinner was really good, and you can enjoy the view of the kitchen during your meal. The tiramisu was excellent!

Expensive, good view and service, kids corner for food options, no play area, burger was bad, service was good.
