Restaurant Staus Varde

A very large restaurant with many tables. We had lunch there; it was real home-style cooking, delicious and plentiful. The daily special was meatloaf with fresh vegetables and new potatoes. We'd gladly come again next time 👍 very nice and friendly landlady.

I had a wonderful meal. I used to eat here with my parents when I was a child. It's still just as well-run and lovingly managed as it was 40 years ago. I was so impressed. I highly recommend it. Everything was freshly prepared. Thank you so much for the lovely food and friendly service. I'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, we were only able to eat there on our last day; it's a real hidden gem, and we would have loved to go more often. Fresh food with unbeatable value for money.

Opening hours vary due to many private events. Just call a few days in advance to reserve a table! June 6, 2024 Voted Restaurant No. 1 again this year! "Stauö Schnitzel" for two. Absolutely delicious! I've NEVER eaten such a good schnitzel in a restaurant before. And that's no exaggeration. Top-quality ingredients on your plate. And all at moderate prices. English family travelling - We wanted a really good danish Schnitzel! So we came here! When we first walked in there was only one other table in use so it was very quiet. However the owner was lovely and made us feel comfortable, gave us the specials and helped us with the menu. We got the pork schnitzel as the turkey hadn’t been delivered to the restaurant yet. However, so glad we did! It was absolutely huge! We had chips, crispy potatoes, peas & carrots as a side. And the butter and horseradish on top of the schnitzel. (This is how it comes you just have to let them know what side potatoes you want). It was delicious! We absolutely loved it and we were so full up! The horseradish & butter melted on the schnitzel were great and the crispy potatoes and chips were so good. Would definitely recommend! Don’t be put off if it’s quiet, it’s great food! ☺️

Family-run for many decades. Home-style cooking in large quantities and of high quality. The decor is a bit dated, but somehow it fits perfectly. At times, it feels like the 80s/90s, with delicious food.

We received a very warm welcome. The food was delicious :). We immediately booked another table. Thank you so much.
