Restaurant & Steakhouse Amalie Thisted

We were a bit skeptical due to some of the reviews, but we were not only pleasantly surprised, but would definitely come back anytime, and certainly more than once. The food is top-notch. There's an all-you-can-eat salad and potato bar. And "all you can eat" here doesn't mean a drop in quality. The salad selection is plentiful, and the potato bar, with its fries, gratin, baked potatoes, roast potatoes, and vegetable sides, is equally impressive. The steaks are truly outstanding. Delicious, cooked to perfection, just as ordered. The ribs (bones) were also excellent. And what makes a visit perfect? ​​When the service is superb. The staff was not only quick and attentive, but also happy to give tips on what to see and do nearby, or how the beers taste. We were particularly intrigued by the Porse Guld. It's a beer brewed without hops, and we really enjoyed it. Afterward, we went to the supermarket nearby to pick up a few to take home. A wonderfully harmonious little restaurant that is definitely not a typical tourist trap. Absolutely worth it. Fun fact: It used to be a disco. Our only criticism: They don't have draft beer – especially Porse Guld on tap would really enhance the place 😉

Without a doubt the best meat we have had, we recommend the cutting board! Delicious side dishes and short waiting time. our waiter Martin gave fantastic service all in all a 5 star experience, we will be back

Amalie was previously a disco in Vorupør, but is probably one of the best Steakhouses north of the Limfjord. All dishes include a large salad bar and a hot bar where you can choose side dishes for steaks. It is also possible to get three smaller pieces. I tried their hook-hung meat, but next time I will probably choose ribeye. There was also an ice cream bar, but I chose a lovely ice cream dessert with bailey. A good evening when the restaurant was not crowded.

Only one star left, because our seats weren't so fine. Meat and the sides were delicious. Everyone was friendly. The price-performance ratio was perfectly fine. Well Done!
