Excellent Italian restaurant in Copenhagen. We reserved a table at this pleasant establishment since it was very close to the hotel where we were staying. It was honestly a very welcome discovery; the owner welcomes guests with a smile and a kind manner. The cuisine is on par with that of any excellent restaurant in Italy. Try the saffron risotto with pistachios and tomino cheese, and the homemade tiramisu. We recommend booking a table, even through the app. We were so pleased that we decided to repeat the experience before leaving Copenhagen. Excellent

It was a looong wait. The food was delicious. The atmosphere seemed authentic. The waiter was just great 😊 It's not a cheap place, mind you.

Here is the updated review: Here is the updated review: "Il Retrogusto in Copenhagen is an authentic Italian oasis! The kitchen uses fresh products to create incredible dishes. The bruschettas were crunchy and tasty, the risotto with artichokes and saffron was creamy and delicious (the chef took care to prepare it lactose-free, at my request!), the pork cheek was tender and full of flavour. The service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff who recommended an exquisite glass of wine. To finish, the dessert of the day was an incredible delight for the palate, accompanied by a fabulous mango, passion fruit and orange sorbet! The Italian music in the background was the finishing touch: it tastes like home and pleasantly accompanies you throughout the evening. The warm and welcoming atmosphere completes everything.
