17/12/2025: I had a really wonderful experience at Scarpetta in Copenhagen, and it is definitely a place I would like to return to.
I chose their menu, which offered burrata for starter, pizza al funghi as main course and lemon meringue pie for dessert – and all three servings were top class.
The food was simply fantastic. The burrata was fresh, creamy and perfectly balanced, served with high quality ingredients, with delicious tomato sauce and crispy eggplant. The pizza al funghi was crispy on the bottom, rich in flavour and with delicious mushrooms, which gave the dish both depth and finesse. The dessert, lemon meringue pie, rounded off the meal perfectly with a wonderful balance between acidity and sweetness – a truly well-executed ending.
In addition, I think Scarpetta delivers really good value for money. The portion sizes were appropriate, the quality was high, and the menu felt well thought out throughout. You get a full and complete dining experience at a price that is very fair for the level and location.
Last but not least, the service was extremely friendly and welcoming. The waiters were smiling, attentive and made you feel welcome from start to finish, without being intrusive. The service contributed greatly to the overall experience.
All in all, I can highly recommend Scarpetta if you are looking for authentic, tasty food, a good atmosphere and professional service in Copenhagen.
