Ristorante Rugatino Gladsaxe

We had pasta penne with truffle oil and Karl Johan mushrooms. When we got drinks, they came with home-baked bread, (not calculated) which tasted super good. We sat by a window down in the corner, small but very cosy, (don't get small). Service was really good and the staff nice. We also had dessert, a chocolate sluflé (volcano chocolate cake). There was vanilla ice cream, which was superb, and so was the cake. (It was today's dessert)

Most authentic Italian restaurant I have found in Denmark. Excellent food and really friendly service. We've been by a few times by now, and always received terrific service. The place clearly as regulars, and we're planning on being some of them! The waiters will make recommendations, or suggest things not on the menu, and will make friendly conversation in a way not usually seen in Danish restaurants. Everything I've tried has been delicious, but I can especially recommend their Rigatoni con Fileto di Manzo, or the Agnello alla Griglia.

Thoroughly surprised and impressed! This was our first trip to Il Nuovo and we will be certainly be back. When we first entered a lovely smiling waitress told us she would be back in a couple of seconds, as she took some dishes into the kitchen. Already here, standing at the door of the resturant, instead of being treated with indifference like in so many restaurants there was a genuine warmth and Italian passion shining through. The owner came over and met us and quickly served some lovely warm and lightly toasted garlic bread with some truffle oil while we deliberated over the menu. My wife and I chose the classic carpaccio which was really fresh and tasty. I then went with a simple pizza and my wife had the spaghetti gamberoni. The pizza was just right, not too doughy and really great. The spaghetti was perfect with nice fresh prawns, a nice sauce and served the perfect " al dente" style. We then shared a home made tiramisu which was one of the best I have ever tasted. Firm, nicely soft but not a pile of soggy cream like so many others. Finally we had a beautifully served cappuccino, like the Italians really know how. The wine list is not extensive but very reasonably priced and we had a really nice red wine for a price often lower than most other restaurants. All in all a nice surprise! Nice service, great food and all for a reasonable price. We'll be back!

Cosy, good atmosphere and good food. Definitely a place worth visiting

We went to the store to order two pizzas to take away: a gorgonzola and a capricciosa. They were both super good. We will return!
