Royal Shawarma Aarhus

Tasty and fresh schwarma close to the train station. They were sold out of lamb when we got there at 5pm, so good to know they make it fresh every day. Clean and friendly staff.

The shawarma was cold, the premises were dirty, they didn't even give you napkins. I don't recommend it

The meat is really good, the bread is freshly baked with some slightly burnt, black spots, which give it a fantastic taste. The dressing is not just the classic creme fraiche either — it is homemade and is sitting right in the cupboard. Their homemade chili is perfectly spicy. But for 89 kroons, I simply cannot give more than a maximum of 3 stars. The roll is too small, and there is far too little meat. If you want the perfect balance between meat and salad, you have to order extra meat — and that costs 30 kroons extra. So you end up paying 119 kroons for a roll, and that can't be right. You should at least be full when you pay 89 kroons, and there should definitely be more meat. I can mention Shawarmamesteren as an example: A roll costs 69 kroons, has all the same qualities, but is larger and contains far more meat. If Royal Shawarma had done the same, they would have gotten 5 stars — because the taste and quality are absolutely flawless!

The best place to get a shawarma! Especially for the price. If you take a menu you are guaranteed a tasty shawarma and crispy fries. 🫰🏼 the service is top notch and they are super nice. It is my nr1 go to when I visit Aarhus. They have never disappointed. 🥰

Systematized kebab review with 22 possible points. I ordered a durum with a mix of lamb and flank steak, chili, hummus and all for 89 kr. - The bread (0-3 points): 3 points, it was homemade and had a good elastic consistency. It was very reminiscent of Durum symphony which is located in Copenhagen, Nørrebro. - The salad (cucumber, tomato, lettuce and onion), 0-2 points: 1.5 points, there was too much onion for my taste. It drowned out everything else. - Some free extra accessories (e.g. red cabbage, hummus, taboula), 0-1 points: 1 point, there was both red cabbage and mint in it, which worked really well. - The meat (0-5 points): 3.5 points. The meat had a really nice consistency (quality) and had an okay taste. I missed more spice in the meat. It is very reminiscent of Durum Bar in Nørrebro (KBH). * The chili (0-2 points): 2 points; good strength and good taste. * The dressing (0-2 points): 2 points. Standard dressing and then there was also mint dressing (I think), which worked really well. * The quantity / how full you were (0-2 points): 2 points. Fully full, no complaints. * Service (0-1 point): 1 point, it was fast and they were nice behind the counter. * The price (0-4 points, where 4 points is 30-40 kr., 3 points is 40-50, 2 points is 50-65 kr. and 1 point is over 65 kr.): 1 point. Overall rating: 17/22 =0.773 = 3.85 stars. Rounded up to 4 stars.

Super delicious kebab and a good choice if you are looking for something a step above the local pizza place – both in terms of quality and price. Delicious bread, good chili and friendly service. I would miss the option to add hummus, though.

For 85,- kr I don't think there was enough filling, compared to other places in the city and otherwise I think the roll was a bit tasteless
