Rørt København

Rørt Torvehallerne is a great place to discover Danish culinary tradition in one of Copenhagen's liveliest food courts. Famous for their smørrebrød, a traditional one-bread sandwich. There are a few places in the food market but what I liked was the bread itself and its freshly cooked toppings (see my pics).

Really nice and well-prepared food. Good service from young staff who are relaxed with each other :-)

The food was delicious, the waiting time was surprisingly long for sandwiches😅 But it was worth the wait😉

Delicious but simply sandwiches.

We loved our traditional smørrebrød from Rørt I got two of the plant-based options (even though I’m an omnivore), one with mushroom and one with potato and both were delicious. My husband got chicken and bacon, which he also enjoyed. We also appreciated the drink selection. My husband got a beer and I had a refreshing rhubarb soda. We appreciated that Rørt was still open when other food stalls in the market had closed. Service was friendly and helpful!

We came twice to eat smørrebrød because they were very good and not too expensive.

While searching for traditional smørrebrød, I stumbled upon this temple of bliss. Not only does it offer a total of eight different varieties, but they all taste absolutely heavenly. Unfortunately, I was weak and only managed to try the first six.
