Stepping in to Zar you immediately feel at home with a warm welcome from the host. We sat at the long table dining with fellow wine and food enthusiast and had an amazing dinner in a laid back atmosphere. The food is made with passion and great quality ingredients. The vibe is as if dining with friends and eating grandmas homemade cooking. Stunning place with great people, amazing selection of wine and great food.

Stepping into Zar was like being transported straight to Bulgaria. From the authentic atmosphere to the enchanting taste of traditional Bulgarian dishes, the experience was nothing short of remarkable. The first thing that caught our attention was the hospitable and welcoming atmosphere that embraced us. The hosts were not only attentive, but also knowledgeable about the menu and eager to share their knowledge of Bulgarian culture through the food. Now for the highlight: the food! Every bite was a culinary feast that celebrated Bulgaria’s rich gastronomic heritage. From the refreshing winter salad, with its combination of fresh vegetables, to the succulent, tender and flavorful Banitsa, each dish was a symphony of deliciousness. A particular highlight was their selection of natural wines, chosen to perfection, that complemented the flavors of the dishes in an amazing way Finally, the sweet ending! Their selection of desserts, especially the traditional Anglais with sourdough pâté, was a fantastic end to an unforgettable meal. Overall, Zar was an unforgettable experience. From the authentic atmosphere to the amazingly flavorful food, this is a place where the heart and soul of Bulgaria shines through in every meal. A warm recommendation for anyone looking to explore Bulgaria's culture through their amazing cuisine.
