It's just good and simple at Samurai Sushi on Torvet in Hillerød. And it gets better every time. There are minor changes on the menu, but more than enough delicious things to choose from - and probably also a bit too much. It works well with st ordering on the iPad and it's still "fun". "All you can eat" is a no brainer when we're down there, and the price of 259 kr. on all weekdays is definitely worth the money. Then there's the atmosphere and the premises. Something has been done to it and I think it suits the restaurant really well. Most sushi restaurants are decidedly sad and very spartan (the latter is Jansk style). Samurai stands out significantly in that regard and I love that. There is a clear recommendation from here for Samurai Sushi. "Yoku naru" is well-known in Japanese according to the chat.

16/12/2025: My wife and I visited the place towards Christmas. It was busy and there were many guests, but we still got fast, friendly and service-minded service. We ordered 2 lovely pieces of open sandwiches each. Fish fillet: Well fried, good breading.... the remoulade a little too coarse but tasted excellent. Pork roast: Good juicy and with all the right accessories. My wife chose risalamande for dessert, and unfortunately it was a sad affair. Far too few almonds and the cherry sauce was cold! Choose another dessert and have a good experience.
12/12/2025: Good place for a lunch, remember to reserve a table in advance.

12/09/2025: Went to an 80th birthday party (family lunch buffet) The food was a really delicious, flavorful traditional Danish lunch buffet. The food was what pulled it all together. The service from the young waiters was nice, they did a good job, but it was marked by commands from a grumpy head waiter, who seemed to be really annoyed about having to be at work. Because you could barely put your fork down before your plate was gone. We had to ask several times for more bread and butter on the tables. The dessert, which was a brownie, was so small that you could barely see it. And the coffee cups were also removed before you could look around.. all in all, it seemed like the head waiter wanted to go home as soon as possible... a shame, because it puts the mood down on a day when there was supposed to be a celebration.. but the food was delicious
