Worth a visit and super service

Great service with good attention without being intrusive and excellent suggestions for wine by the glass according to our preferences. The food was nice but lacked the final quality compared to the rest. The food was 3-3.5 stars, but I have given 4 stars because the wines were worth 5.

We had our wedding here with the family, about 20 people, and it was a fantastic experience! They have a room in the basement for approx. 20 people where we held it. The room is really atmospheric and is located by their wine cellar. You go down a spiral staircase and see an oblong table. The menu was put together with their restaurant manager and they gave good feedback and were quite flexible. We had lobster ravioli, fried quail, and crème brûlée with raspberry sorbet. The wine was burgundy oriented, really delicious. The service was also really good! We had children with us who could enjoy themselves away from the table and had two musicians who came and played. We had our wedding in a nearby park and they were very flexible and we agreed that if it rained we could have the ceremony down there too. It was not topical, but safe and professional service. The only small downside was that when I asked one of the waiters if they could introduce the wines, he was reluctant and said that it was just Bourgogne AOP, so there wasn't much to say. A swig, where he should have just taken one of the more experienced waiters over to explain the wine. All in all, it was a huge success, and I can only warmly recommend holding events at Sans Sauci! Cozy restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and good service.

The biggest thank you to the staff at San Souci! My husband and I held our wedding reception and dinner at San Souci and couldn’t be happier with how the day turned out. First of all, the staff were incredibly helpful during the planning process. They gave us clear options and worked with us to make sure it would turn out as we envisioned. During the reception and dinner, the staff made sure our guests had enough food and drink without being intrusive and gave explanations on all the food and drink served. Grade A service. Secondly, the food was phenomenal. We weren’t sure what our menu would be since they had just reopened after Christmas break, but there’s a reason we called up San Souci for the occasion: all our guests were over the moon about every course and the wine pairings. We were especially keen on the blood orange panna cotta. Lastly, the staff did a wonderful job of setting the atmosphere. Our party started during the end of lunch service and went into dinner service but at no time did we feel at odds with the rest of the dining room. We felt like we had our own space to celebrate but the separation was not stuffy or overly formal. The lighting and table setting were also perfectly cosy but formal enough for the occasion. I also cannot neglect to mention the location itself—a short walk from Frederiksberg Rådhus and in a corner plot with large windows looking directly onto the street. We were seated with direct access to the windows and got plenty of sunlight during the day, which was a huge plus for us. Other restaurants would have put our event in a basement, which would have really killed the mood! San Souci really knows how to host, and I am so glad we worked with them for our special day. Again, a big big thank you to San Souci for helping us entertain our friends and family on this very memorable occasion. You have customers for life.

Lovely evening with food and service at the highest level. Will definitely come back.

Excellent ingredients, but generally far too much salt.

We were a party of 7 people and had a delicious 4-course Christmas lunch. Can be highly recommended. Good attentive service even though there was only one person on the floor due to illness. Well done when there was a full house. We will come again.

The service was not very welcoming, therefore we do not want to come again, unfortunately.
