Best jollof I’ve had in a while

We went to Sasaa as a group and chose the sharing menu. It was incredibly delicious, and the service was simply fantastic. I don't eat meat myself, but the owner kindly offered to adapt the menu for me. Highly recommended! :)

First time trying African style food. It was good, but I did find the tomato dish quite salty. They do have an extensive menu, and overall it was a pleasant experience with friendly wait staff.

Visiting from Australia. How lucky are we to have randomly discovered and chosen this African jewel in Copenhagen during our walk through Nørrebro!! I love how the menu informs where in Africa each dish belongs to and the variety on offer. Sasaa also offers a weekly dish, which is an idea I just love. We chose that weekly dish as well as the Bariis Iyo Hilib, an East African Lamb dish. The flavours were out of this world! So absolutely delicious, I’d visit all the way from Australia again just for this place!! Service is very friendly and the atmosphere lovely too. Highly recommend visiting Sasaa when in Copenhagen. This place and the people running it deserve all the success and praises 🫶

We just had dinner at this amazing restaurant and the food was absolutely fantastic. I was lucky to get the Fufu (which they only serve on Tue and Wed) and it was delicious. Staff were very friendly. Oh, and try the hop sodas and some of the starters. I highly recommend this place.

Very good food! Well balanced with tomato sauce, chutney, for the lamb. Nice lentil stew with lots of flavor and good bread. Also tried the chicken drumstick which was good.

Fantastic cuisine! Delicious food, great selection, and excellent value. A true culinary sensation!

It’s been over 24 hours since we dined here, and I still cannot stop thinking about their Suqaar. Genuinely one of the best dishes I’ve had in a very long time. We went with the tasting menu to sample a bit of everything - dishes ranging from Ethiopian, Somalian, Egyptian, etc. Everything was delicious! The service was on the slower end, which wasn’t too bad since we had no plans. Other than that, though, I am definitely going to be back for the Suqaar alone. 🤩

Lovely food and place. This is what we ordered: Chakalaka x1 Jollof Rice x1 Fufu In Groundnut sauce x1 (BEST OPTION) Alloco x1 Suqaar x1 Shaah (no milk) x2 (amazing for digesting, lots of cinnamon tastes very similar to chai tea (i know chai means tea in Indian.) Baobab hop soda x1 Lovely atmosphere, the most unique food I’ve ever had (Im very white) and this has absolutely made me want to further explore food outside of Europe. I REALLY cannot recommend this enough.
