This is probably the best value for money offer in Copenhagen 🫰 The hotel is far from the city center, but there is a metro station nearby, which compensates for this distance 🚇 Quite a cozy location, but sometimes crowded, long-lasting and noisy corporate meetings are held on the territory of the complex 🥂

Normal Scandic standard and nothing to complain about.

Excellent value for money. Spacious hotel, pleasant rooms, good breakfast, and close to buses and the metro. The neighborhood is also very nice with its canals.

Standard chain hotel. Nice rooms with great views, spartan breakfast and a perfectly good gym. The surrounding area is heavily influenced by construction activities. Pleasant and solution-oriented service. Inconveniently located for those without a car, but bus no. 18 or the boat to Sluseholmen will get you there, or you can use the newly opened Metro station in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The hotel offers free outdoor parking. The room is not cleaned, and you have to collect towels and toilet paper yourself from the reception. Snow in Copenhagen made the January stay a unique experience ❄ Updated late summer 2025: The hotel has shifted the check-in time so that you get fewer hours in the room for the same price. It's "shrinkflation". The room was still available, but for a cost of 200 DKK. It's both petty and greedy. The next thing is that you have to pay extra for breakfast. We left our luggage in the car and took the 200-kroner note with us to the bodegas in Sydhavnen. Updated January 2026: There was a rumor, now breakfast is no longer included in the stay. The hotel charges several hundred kroner per person for this. Based on previous experience, it is not worth it. So we chose to have breakfast in the neighborhood and thus support the local business community. Parking is also no longer included in the stay, and entails an additional cost for the stay. The hotel is still under renovation and clearly shows this. So why on earth do we still choose to stay there when we are in Copenhagen. One thing is that we were not aware that parking is no longer included. The other is that we like to have, albeit temporarily, the zip code 2450, we support BK Frem, when we live in Copenhagen. However, we will probably have to reconsider our plans for accommodation on future visits to Copenhagen. (Being pushed out of Sydhavnen and into Høje Taastrup due to gentrification is, after all, an experience of the real Copenhagen).

Conveniently located in relation to the Metro, however, there is now paid parking, a reasonable restaurant, breakfast and bar. Really poor water pressure in the bathroom.

I attended a large management meeting of 100+ people at Scandic Sluseholmen – located at Målestigen 11 (Molestien 11) in Sydhavnen – and the experience was excellent from start to finish. I only attended a half-day meeting and did not use their rooms. When you walk through the door, you immediately notice the welcoming atmosphere: the light wood that hits you first, and which creates a warm and calm atmosphere. The staff stands out clearly, dressed in uniform, well-mannered and welcoming – you immediately know who works here and who is a guest. The room was generously equipped with comfort and functionality: modern chairs with a tilt function were chosen – not the stationary, stiff, boring chairs – but chairs that invite you to stay for a longer time, with the possibility of easy movement without it seeming disruptive. The sound was sharp and clear, and with two projectors and a large screen it was clear that even participants far from the front row could follow along without any problems. This shows that the meeting department has a handle on technology and functionality. At breakfast, we were offered a smiling spread: a roll with cheese, croissant, fresh fruit – anything but the predictable “coffee and bun”. In addition, the snack bar was worth noting: a selection of wasabi nuts, peanuts and small “snack glasses” that you could fill and take away. Coffee, water and juice were easily accessible in separate zones, divided so that the queues were kept small – again a detail that shows consideration. For lunch in the restaurant there was a buffet: a fresh, green salad with salad cheese, a delicious pasta dish, chicken and a piece of salmon. Soft drinks were placed at the tables – and when I wanted a Pepsi Max, it was without any problems to get it. While we ate, the service came around calmly and elegantly and removed used dishes, without interrupting the quiet work chatter at the tables – it was discreet, efficient and respectful. The general condition of the hotel was impressive: the toilets in both the meeting rooms and the restaurant appeared fresh, modern and inviting. The premises were well-maintained, the floors were shiny, and the atmosphere was calm – a half-day meeting went wonderfully and without any complaints. Conclusion and recommendation Overall, I give Scandic Sluseholmen 5 out of 5 stars. Many thanks to the staff for your friendliness, professionalism, and great ways of facilitating our meeting. I highly recommend the place for larger meetings or conferences where comfort, functionality, and sensory quality are highly valued. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
