The food is mediocre, we got an incredibly boring shrimp dish that was supposed to be served with herb mayo, which herbs we didn't know, as it tasted of almost nothing. The very good service claimed that the food was a whole meal, which was also implied by the price. However, this is not the case, you should probably calculate two pieces for a lunch and then it starts to get quite pricey.

If you are in Kolding and the surrounding area and want fish, this is the place to go to eat. The food is tasty, good quality, reasonably good portion sizes. The service is pleasant and knowledgeable about what they sell. Recommended to go here.

Great fish restaurant in the heart of Kolding, great food, generous portions, attentive service and a good selection. They also offer a lot of good wines. We had fish and chips with a little twist and a really good Moules-frites. Definitely recommended!

The service was fabulous the food amazing I would not hesitate to highly recommend and go back: fish & chips took on a whole new level it was so delicious, quirky unique springs to mind with a sandy floor, loved it

We ordered the menu with starter, main course, and dessert. The starter was delicious, leaving me wanting more. As for the main course, my fish was almost raw; a little more cooking would have been great. The sauce and potatoes that came with the dish weren't enough; we had to ask for refills, which made us a little uncomfortable. The dessert was okay, nothing amazing. I don't know if we'll be back.

11/08/2025: Had the opportunity to stroll the old town surrounding this property after our wedding. We loved meeting the townsfolk and sharing the beauty of these surroundings. There was an event going on and we were able to meet some friendly faces here. Would recommend stopping by for a stay or a bite to eat in the restaurant.
27/07/2025: It's lovely, clean and beautiful here. ONE serious thing, near number 9 there was a loud noise all night long that kept me awake. I wondered where it came from. Now we're sitting on the terrace and we can still hear it clearly. It's running and stopping all night long. There's also noise from cars, but it's quieted down Would like to know what it is? And I recommend that you do something about it. A minus of the stay, where the service and meals were satisfactory

Cafe A - Kolding

07/08/2025: Very good and attentive service. Great food and drinks. Delicious salad bar.
23/07/2025: Had lunch at Cafe A, was welcomed by a young, sweet female waiter, got a table right away, and we ordered Cafe A Burger with steak and a burger with chicken, which was a free salad bar with that menu. The salad bar has just the bare essentials, which we could pick up right away, a little later the burgers were served, they looked nice, tasted excellent, the steak was a little dry fried, but it was edible. There was a bowl of potato wedges with chili mayonnaise. It is very popular, people come and go all the time. The waiters were a little stressed today, there was pressure, it is a real cafe with small tables, people are there for about 45 to 60 minutes, so there is a lot of turnover.
