If you ever find yourself in Østerbro and want to skip the Juno Bakery line (or just eat where the locals go), I highly recommend checking out Skipper Bageri! Their chocolate chip cookies, lemon kanelsnegl, and kardemommeboller are some of the best I’ve had in Copenhagen. I'd give it a full 5 stars if it weren’t for my boyfriend’s ham and egg sandwich, which was a bit boring last time. Still, the overall experience, friendly vibe, and baked goods more than make up for it. Definitely worth a visit!

Best bread in Copenhagen. Their sesame bun with cheese is a go to for me every Sunday.

Nice place to shop Not so nice to sit Consider making sure you get served from the cakes etc. on display and not from the racks in the back. Those pieces are somewhat less impressive.

Hip bakery, which has both traditional Danish cakes and bread with a little extra finesse and unusual items such as French canelés. In the fridge and on the shelves, there is also a certain selection of exquisite farm produce, expensive tea, etc. For example, organic milk in a brown glass bottle. Here, tourists can get an extra Østerbro experience. Good, but expensive.

Super cosy bakery with wonderful selection of Danish and French classics! 🍰 We had the canéle, pain au chocolates, pistachio croissant and spandauer all really good. The canéle was really one of the best I have tasted 🏆 ☕️ We also got cappuccino and latte and the coffee is also worth the trip it self!

Was planning to go to another bakery but they were closed so tried this one, I had a coffee and coconut croissant thing and my wife had a pistachio croissant, both were very tasty and I was happy we accidentally ended up here.

There are many good bakeries in Østerbro, but Skipper is right at the top

Live this place. Good bread - the one with walnuts and olive oil is great. Good service with a smile even at 7am.. their fastelavnsboller are good.
