Very delicious lion food. Fast service. Lovely room that has improved acoustics with acoustic panels. The view doesn't get any better.

Delicious Christmas food, with a lot of Christmas classics with some new twists. The rye bread was super good, and especially the medisterpösl with kale was of high quality. However, the dishes lacked a bit of acidity and especially the duck would have been better with some sour side dishes. The staff were sweet and personal, and very skilled at helping with any special food needs. All in all, a good Christmas dinner🤶🧑‍🎄

Been there for lunch twice in October and November 2025. Incredibly delicious open sandwiches. Everything is made from scratch. Everything! And you can taste it. Probably the best tartar I've had, and I've had a lot of them. The only downside is that the room is small and therefore the sound level is high when it's full. I'm looking forward to going there in the summer when you can sit outside. Best open sandwiches restaurant north of Greater Copenhagen. Highly recommended.

It was good, nice atmosphere, pretty pricey. Lunch for one with the lobster toast, fish cakes and apple dessert was $80.

On a summer day, Skipperhuset is one of the coziest places in North Zealand to enjoy a good lunch. The location directly down to Esrum Sø is just amazing. Combined with sublime service, it hardly gets better! If you like Champagne and caviar, don't give up, here you can get it all! However, you should always book a table for lunch, otherwise it is not certain that you will be able to get a table.

Small and very idyllic eatery in Fredensborg Castle Gardens. Danish smørrebrød is on the menu for lunch and the quality is high, as are the prices! DKK 120 per piece for flat, very lightly decorated food focuses on the few ingredients on the plate, and that is fine. When you have chewed the 4-5 mouthfuls, you can enjoy the view over the lakes before you are (all too) quickly offered to sip coffee before your 1.5 hour table reservation expires. At the prices offered, it is too much pressure!

Quite nice open sandwiches at reasonable prices and okay service. It was fully booked and the acoustics in the room make it a bit difficult to talk as the noise level is very high, so only 3 stars for atmosphere. It was fully booked so would recommend booking a table
