Top class food, really good wine by the glass even though the selection is limited. Very good service.

I visited Restaurant Sletten after spending the day at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, and it ended up being the perfect way to cap off the trip. The setting is absolutely beautiful, right on the water with views across the harbor. If the weather is nice, I highly recommend sitting outside. It’s one of those places where you immediately want to slow down and enjoy your surroundings. I started with the cold halibut, which was paired with a fresh salad and nuts that added just the right amount of texture and made for a beautifully balanced first course. Next was one of the last servings of the season’s white asparagus, accompanied by shrimp and a silky hollandaise. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and really let the quality of the ingredients shine. For my main, I had the pan-seared chicken thighs served over a bed of herbs with a beurre blanc sauce. It was comforting while still feeling refined, with excellent technique and great balance throughout the dish. What surprised me most was just how polished the food was. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, but the cooking is at a very high level. If you’re planning a visit to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, I can’t think of a better place to have lunch or dinner afterward. It made for one of my favorite meals of the trip.

Absolutely wonderful experience! We got a table the same day in the evening, and were quite lucky, since when we got there, it was completely full outside. We had the fixed menu, with some extra dishes we couldn't help but to order, since everything tasted great! The presentation of the food looked amazing, and everything was very flavorful. Prices for the A la Carte dishes were very reasonable too. The service was relaxed, but very professional. And the setting outside, on a lovely summer night was just prefect perfect. It is little bit far away, but if you can get there, it's an absolutely fabulous experience.

I really enjoyed the dishes on offer, with a special mention for the "White asparagus, walnuts, hollandaise & hand-peeled fjord shrimp". It was very fresh and flavorful. The service was also very friendly.

After dining here, I would have no regrets if I lost my taste buds tomorrow. Well, my sole regret would be the fact that I neglected to personally thank the chefs at Sletten for a transcendent dining experience. In fact, I'm spiraling for not doing so- it was just that amazing and I yearn to express my wholehearted gratitude. May this review suffice. The attentivity and kindness of the entire team was exemplary. Every course I ate tonight is a dish I'll think about til my eternal slumber. We ordered the four course menu and my dishes were masterfully modified to be lactose free. Substitutions? Nay, they were enhancements (I jest, I'm confident the original dishes were just as exquisite). From the brill to the lamb, every ingredient was a star. Dessert still has me salivating. The phrase "Love Supreme" is how I'd aptly summarize my dining experience at Sletten. With my full being, I say thanks. Tusind tak for mad.

We have been coming to Sletten Kro for many years, and it has gradually become a tradition for us to start the summer there - along with all the other good excuses to go back 😊 Another really lovely evening, where everything just worked. We were 4 adults and chose the complete menu with a few small changes along the way, which the kitchen handled without any problems. This meant that everything fell into place perfectly for all of us. The wine menu adapted to the food worked really well, and the whole experience was lifted by a fine collaboration with our waiter, who went to great lengths to ensure that we once again had a fantastic experience. Food, wine, service and atmosphere came together in a higher unity - and Sletten Kro proves again why we keep coming back year after year.

The food tasted good, the place was cozy and the waiters were nice but I got food poisoning. A bit surprising for a Michelin restaurant where you have to pay so much for small dishes.

All in all a delicious place, with a beautiful location. The dishes are good and creative, but unfortunately their lobster bisque was not the best. The sea view is beautiful and the place is classically decorated. The service was a bit disorganized (not all dishes were presented and there were a few problems with uncertainties regarding celiac disease) But definitely a delicious place to eat.
