Impressive wine list, nice location (unexpectedly this quality in a small town and right by the water), beautiful dishes, and attentive service. We had a delicious meal. The only downside was the veal schnitzel: too dry/firm, although the sauce (with cherries) served with it was very lovely.

A true explosion of flavor – simply top-notch! The service was very friendly and attentive 🙏 If you're in the area – a MUST EAT AND DRINK! We had a divine fine dining dinner 👍

Usually a good place to have a pleasant dinner but something didn’t work on this end of July evening. The service was slow and disorganized, the dishes were hurried to the table, some presented by the waiter, some not. The fare wasn’t bad but seemed like yesterday’s news. The place also lacks proper ventilation and quickly becomes stuffy. Frankly not a success.

I visited Restaurant Sletten after spending the day at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, and it ended up being the perfect way to cap off the trip. The setting is absolutely beautiful, right on the water with views across the harbor. If the weather is nice, I highly recommend sitting outside. It’s one of those places where you immediately want to slow down and enjoy your surroundings. I started with the cold halibut, which was paired with a fresh salad and nuts that added just the right amount of texture and made for a beautifully balanced first course. Next was one of the last servings of the season’s white asparagus, accompanied by shrimp and a silky hollandaise. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and really let the quality of the ingredients shine. For my main, I had the pan-seared chicken thighs served over a bed of herbs with a beurre blanc sauce. It was comforting while still feeling refined, with excellent technique and great balance throughout the dish. What surprised me most was just how polished the food was. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, but the cooking is at a very high level. If you’re planning a visit to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, I can’t think of a better place to have lunch or dinner afterward. It made for one of my favorite meals of the trip.

Absolutely wonderful experience! We got a table the same day in the evening, and were quite lucky, since when we got there, it was completely full outside. We had the fixed menu, with some extra dishes we couldn't help but to order, since everything tasted great! The presentation of the food looked amazing, and everything was very flavorful. Prices for the A la Carte dishes were very reasonable too. The service was relaxed, but very professional. And the setting outside, on a lovely summer night was just prefect perfect. It is little bit far away, but if you can get there, it's an absolutely fabulous experience.
