Vi var lige kommet til Danmark efter en lang ferie, og havde en overnatning i hovedstaden inden vi skulle hjem til frokost. Derfor havde jeg lyst til noget smørrebrød. Jeg kendte ikke stedet men fandt det via Google. Alle borde var reserveret, men vi kunne få et bord i godt en time. Det var god service. Stedet er åbenbart populært og det kan vi godt forstå. Her kan du se alle de kolde smørrebrød og bestille mellem ca. 5 varme. Vi kommer sikkert igen, men bestiller nok bord.

Strange concept without a menu but with a table where the open sandwiches are "displayed" on plates under cling film. Here all guests can then queue until it is their turn to look at the "display models". After the first round of open sandwiches I joined the queue again to order another one, but gave up after a while, as the person behind the display table did not have time to take orders. The small open sandwich I got tasted ok and was quite expensive (160 DKK). Other guests had to move so I could leave my table - the space is so tight.

Traditional Danish Open sandwich

Everything just played, perfect retro vibe was like entering a time warp with an incredible vibe. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the food was just okay.

Soy súper parcial - he ido a almorzar a Gitte Kik durante los últimos 40 años y también se lo he presentado a mis hijos - ahora son la 4a generación visitando (y amando) el lugar. El ambiente, la historia y la comida es insuperable y los clásicos sándwiches abiertos daneses (smørrebrød) son excepcionales con un respeto por la tradición (pero también una actualización aquí y allá). Absolutamente excepcional - de nuevo.

Hyggeligt with delicious traditional danish food that are displayed for selection. This has been one of my families favorite spots for almost 50 years.
