Jazz and good food and a good story

Sofie Kælderen in Copenhagen is a historic pub with a special atmosphere. We sat down in the early afternoon because a band was already playing, and that made the visit particularly enjoyable. As time went on, it became increasingly crowded, and you could really feel that this place wasn't just a restaurant or bar, but a meeting place steeped in history and character. We enjoyed a few beers, received friendly service, and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We also found the many pictures of historical events hanging in the pub particularly interesting. You immediately get the sense that many wonderful things must have happened here in the past. Overall, a very authentic place with a great atmosphere, good music, and friendly service. Four stars from us.

The best little restaurant we found in Cøpehagen, a hidden gem in plain sight. Their concept of no set menu is an awesome model and the Chef and staff should be a national treasure. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Denmark. Was just up the street from our Airbnb.
