Very good food and service! We had steak that was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The side dishes and red wine sauce were also well prepared. An extra plus for the salad plate that was served with the food.

A cozy place and good service and the food is okay

The food and service were absolutely perfect. My boyfriend had a burger and I had a steak, which was cooked as requested. ☀️🤩

It was really good food and the place was full of guests both inside and out, we were there on a HOT summer day with lots of sun and sat inside right by the door to the large covered terrace, we could have used a little shade from the sun as we sat there in the "glass cage"

I must admit that I don't quite understand why the place is called "Slagterens Spisehus". With a title like that, the selection of meat dishes should have been something else. In my opinion, the food is a bit on par with Jensens Bøfhus. Stjerneskud is definitely recommended, but if you order their beef fillet, I can recommend that you order it rare if you want it medium, because the medium I ordered had probably been on the grill for more than 2 minutes too long. The place was only half full when we arrived, but still we had to wait 50 minutes for our food, which was also served without any cutlery, which we then had to sit and wait for. We ended up with about 750 kr for a main course and a soft drink for 2 people. By the way, they should rotate all their tables 45 degrees so that you can actually sit at the tables. I could hear other guests talking about the same thing.

We had lunch here yesterday; it was rainy in Faaborg and we walked in spontaneously. You can sit downstairs, but we were kindly asked to take a table upstairs. In terms of atmosphere, it is a bit businesslike, with all long tables right up against the window; a steel structure certainly doesn't help matters. Incidentally, the ground floor is decorated much more cozily. The tables look a bit grubby due to stains soaked into the tabletops. The toilet is the same. It is a communal toilet, and in a restaurant, it really needs to be cleaned very regularly. We sat at a table by the window with a view of the harbor and the ferry coming and going. A nice scene. The staff is friendly and speaks good English. The menu isn't very extensive, but there is enough choice for lunch. For instance, we chose a spicy beef sandwich and a salmon sandwich. Prices in Denmark are slightly higher compared to the Netherlands. I paid the equivalent of €17.50 for a sandwich. It was a substantial sandwich with plenty of fillings. And it tasted good. All in all, we had a delicious meal.

We had a great experience at Slagterens Spisehus. We were five people and everything worked really well. The ribeye steak was amazing, and the Danish fish open sandwich, Stjerneskud, was excellent too. The Caesar salad was rich and tasty, and the ribs were seriously good, the meat just fell off the bones. Lovely terrace, relaxed atmosphere, and very good food. Easy recommendation.

Super cozy place, with beautiful atmosphere and interesting view. The food was good and also reasonably portioned. But for the price, not something I would give 5 stars. (We got spareribs and steak). We sat for almost an hour waiting for our food, despite the fact that, according to a service statement, there were extra staff in the kitchen. And I didn't think there were very many guests at the time we arrived (around 6:30 PM). All in all, a really cozy experience, and a place I would like to recommend to the patient guest.
