Wow, definitely a very nice place with a lake nearby, and you can get delicious cake, coffee, and homemade ice cream, but it only opens at 12 noon and I came at 11 am, but the male staff was really nice to me, super nice, and I would like to come back and taste it all.

A super cozy place and always friendly staff. We bought 2 ice creams for DKK 48, none of us could taste the difference, there should be that on pistachio and chocolate caramel. 3 stars for location and staff. We would love to come again, but we will buy ice cream elsewhere in the future.

A must for every visitor to Fredensborg. First, we tried the ice cream; with such a wide selection, it was hard to choose. And because the little café looked so inviting inside, and the food even more tempting, we went in. So cozy and "hygge," and the filter coffee and cake were a delight. All this was complemented by a view of the lake.

01/07/2026: Despite the high prices, it's really worth stopping here!!!
22/06/2026: One really nice and welcoming employee behind the counter and one angry and grumpy employee behind the sandwich bar. We asked if we could get 2 sandwiches from their menu and one of them asked the other nicely if "it was possible" .. but we then got the answer from the angry one "no, you can choose from the ones on display" (in a non-transparent brown bag so you couldn't see them or the quality) with only 3 varieties to choose from out of the 6 varieties that they otherwise offered on the menu .. the prices were also far too expensive for the quality of the sandwiches .. last time we buy anything from them.

11/01/2026: The coffee shop is located on the territory of the station, it is very convenient to get coffee and some delicious pastries or a sandwich before going to the museum
03/01/2026: Got a mortadella sandwich, fantastically good ingredients. And a cookie too, which was perfect butter and sugar delicious. 1 star down because it's a bit cold in there (we were there on a snowy day)
