Steenbergs Hotel & Brasserie Morsø

The hotel is housed in a monumental former warehouse that has now been completely renovated into a hotel with 18 rooms. Arrival is a bit strange; you are given codes and links to an app to open the door, and in the two nights we were there, we didn't really speak to anyone except a good morning to the staff at breakfast. That makes it a bit impersonal. The breakfast is fine, though: good fresh rolls, very tasty juices, fried eggs—plenty of choice. The room is a story in itself. A low entrance and not convenient if you are taller than 1.80 meters. The floor slopes slightly, there are small windows which makes ventilation more difficult, and the bathroom is covered with vinyl (understandable given a wooden subfloor). Still, it does have charm; it was very clean, and we slept well. Nykøbing is a friendly little town and a good base for exploring the island of Mors.
