Sticks'n'Sushi København

The original Sticks'n'Sushi still offers superb food from the Japanese kitchen in the always cozy Nansensgade. We chose several small dishes, all of which were fantastically delicious. The waiter was young, new to the profession, clearly nervous and therefore somewhat fumbling. She couldn't really answer questions about the food, and didn't make an effort to find out the answers to the few questions we asked when we had doubts about whether we had received the right dish. But never mind, we recognized most of the excellent food that was served.

Ordered “as good as it gets” for two of us. First course took 1 hour to reach our table. Wouldn’t have been so frustrating hadn’t our daughter ordered 3 dishes (One roll, one fried item, and one grilled). All of those came and were eaten before we received anything other than edamame. The food, once it came, was excellent. Waited for 20+ minutes for our service person to come by so we could ask for the check. Never appeared. Stood up and asked another waitress for our check, she said our waitress would be right with us. 15 minutes later, still no check.

Update to previous review: We originally had a really bad experience at Sticks in Nansensgade. As compensation we were invited back and had a much better experience, both with the food and the service. Really good style 🙌❤️

Incredibly good sushi! I can highly recommend this place. It is pricy, but worth it. I had sushi of the week and loved the varieties served. The excellent service recommended a cocktail that was just what I needed.

We had a quick and friendly email beforehand to clarify whether dogs were allowed in the restaurant – they are! ;) The staff were all very friendly and delighted by our furry friend. The sushi was truly excellent and the quality was top-notch. The only slight drawback was that the ambiance was a bit dark. All in all, though, we had a very delicious and enjoyable evening there.

We picked this place because of the name, probably not the wisest thing to do, BUT this time luck was on our side. Food was delicious, and a wonderful selection for a couple picky eaters. Loved the tea selection! That was just such an expected surprise.

Everything was perfect! Beautiful restaurant, food was amazing and the staff were very helpful.
