Do not recommend the tasting menu

Det kan godt være, at Surt har et højt ambitionsniveau med hensyn til kvalitet af råvarer, men der er dog grænser for, hvor meget, man kan skrue prisen på en pizza op. Jeg betalte 205 kr for en Hindsholm pizza med Hindsholm pølse, bøffelmozarella, soltørrede tomater, 60 måneders parmesan og fennikel olie. Selvom bundene er lavet af surdej på oldgamle kornsorter og pizzaen tilberedes i en brændefyret ovn, hænger det ikke sammen. Der fyres ikke med mahogni og pizzaen er god, men ikke noget, man ikke kunne få væsentlig billigere på et af byens andre gode pizzeriaer. Pizzaen var lidt grå og trist at se på, og smagen er også en smule anonym - og til en pris på over 200 kr skal der efter min mening mere smag og “wow” for at pengene passer. Jeg var på vej til en vi smagning og bestilte derfor bare postevand, som jeg til gengæld ikke betalte for. Lokalet er indrettet meget spartansk, nærmest som et cafeteria, heller ikke på denne front kræses der for kunderne.

Sinply fantastic pizza! Try Mortadella, and of course Margherita.

The pizzas were really delicious and some funny combinations of ingredients. But when they are tried, it's like that. The quality was really high but probably not a place I will come again with a price of over 700 for 2 pizzas and 4 beers.

Absolutely wonderful experience. They kindly found a place for us on Saturday evening with no reservation and made us feel very welcome. We shared the celeriac "risotto" to start which was sublime. The rice is replaced by finely diced celeriac and the flavour is just exceptional. We shared the Italian sausage pizza with leeks and fermented chilli. It was delicious and the sour dough Neapolitan crust was to die for. We finished with risalamande which was also delicious. The female Italian server was so lovely, explained everything and was just so nice to chat with. Overall a meal to remember. Highly recommended.

Materia prima italiana, quindi: ottimo cibo, gustoso, appetitoso e delle giuste dosi. Personalmente ho preso una pizza con la mortadella ed era veramente insolita per via degli abbinamenti ricercati tra gli ingredienti (mortadella, pomodori secchi siciliani, formaggio di capra stagionato, mozzarella di bufala e polvere di asparagi). La cottura era ottima, una pizza napoletana perfetta, mancava solamente il Vesuvio alle spalle. Il clima all'interno del locale era veramente conviviale ed allegro, non facile da trovare in questa città dove tutti sono un po' freddi. I camerieri, italiani o di origini italiane, sono molto alla mano e sanno benissimo come mettere a proprio agio, propensi a conversare e conoscere i propri commensali. Birra ottima e dolce alla mousse di cioccolato e marmellata di zucca veramente goloso. Il conto era alto ma in linea con la città (una delle più care d'Europa), €47,50 per una pizza, birra e dolce. Consigliatissimo!

Great food and staff, thank you for the bday suprise :)

I honestly do not know why it took 23 visits (literally) for me to rate it :) But reality is that this is our place of choice for the best pizza in the city (by far) with a very high quality and good taste cuisine in anything they do. And I say it having been in the other three most known in Copenhagen as well as some of the other so called best pizzerias in Europe, amongst them Fratelli Figurato in Madrid - can only say I prefer Surt quality and flavor wise. Highly recommended.
