Ta-Yay Bornholm

Some hits, some misses Ta-Yay offers friendly service and a menu with potential, but the food quality is inconsistent. On the positive side, the Massaman curry and Tom Kha Gai were delicious—clearly made by someone who loves these dishes and understands their flavors. Unfortunately, other offerings didn’t measure up. The Pad Nam Prik Pao lacked the fresh, fragrant ingredients that make Thai cuisine special and instead tasted overwhelmingly of Maggi. The biggest disappointment was the chicken satay: deep-fried to the point of being hard to chew, and the peanut sauce seemed off—bubbly and sour in a way that didn’t feel fresh or intentional. With more focus on ingredient quality and freshness, this place could deliver a much more consistently positive experience.

After a year we visited the restaurant again. Quality, freshness and service were again very good. The chili peppers on the menu as a symbol of spiciness are meant seriously. Ordered starters and main courses to take away. While we waited, we were able to watch the cook skillfully conjure up our food from the fresh-looking ingredients in the wok and deep fryer. Spring rolls, shrimps, satay skewers, curries, sweet and sour dishes prepared deliciously, good portion size. Definitely recommended.

Rigtig hyggelig autentisk thai restaurant, som har en afslappet atmosfære og stemning. Lækker og smagfuld mad til rimelige priser. Sød og venlig betjening, hvor man som kunde føler sig rigtig godt tilpas. Er man til thai mad, så kan stedet anbefales.

We went to the Natur-Bornholm exhibition and then had an appetite for Asian food. We wouldn't be disappointed. The service was very good and the food was very tasty and served quickly. The price-performance ratio is good. We'll be back...👍🇩🇰
