Today I visited one of the very few remaining, passionate diamonds in the Copenhagen “Mad-Liv” A super passionate chef, who I can read in other reviews is criticized for his attitude. I disagree, the man is French, had the place for 22 years, extremely passionate, and I got it all, which resulted in a lovely and wonderful chat of over 30 minutes. I just want to say to all food lovers who want authenticity, honesty and real French passion and craftsmanship - Give Taste a visit, it's absolutely fantastic! Thank you ❤️🥰

I recommend trying the homemade flavors. The "My Way" with forest fruit is a flavor that makes you taste so much fruit. The service is poor, and the place is small.

Adorable little pastry shop conveniently located right next to the metro exit. We tried the cheesecake fruit tart, and it was as rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced as any true cheesecake should be. One note for future visitors: they have a sign politely—but firmly—reminding customers not to bring outside drinks, calling it “immoral and unethical.” Best to order one of their own beverages and enjoy the full experience.

We love this cafe. We had multiple visits during our stay. The pastry’s were made in-house and were excellent. Our lunch was an open sandwich and had more than we could eat.

The cakes seem very good, the service is very nice, and the coffee we did not like so much. The place is small but charming. What was really disappointing was the toilet, no good ventilation nor something to freshen up the aromas...

The food was really delicious, freshly prepared and tasted absolutely fantastic – everything was as it should be. The portions were appropriate, everything came quickly, and you could really taste that love and quality are put into the ingredients. The service was top-notch. The food was served quickly and hot, and the staff were incredibly nice, smiling and attentive throughout. They came several times and asked if everything was as it should be and if we needed anything – without it feeling intrusive in any way. It gave a really good and relaxed atmosphere. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also absolutely perfect – cozy, warm and inviting, not cold or impersonal like many other places can be. The decor was nice and cozy, and everything was clean and well-maintained, including the toilet, which means a lot to the overall impression. It all just worked: fast service, good food, cozy atmosphere and fantastic service. You felt really welcome from start to finish. We will definitely be back – Esmeralda gets our highest recommendation! If you are looking for a place with great food, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, this is the place to go.

06/07/2025: Conveniently located inside Copenhagen Central station. Sweet treat for grab and go. Fast service and helpful staff if we don’t understand what we order through sel-service screen. The donuts always fresh and light. The triple chocolate variant is the most favorite of my kids😍🤩
