Thai Asien Restaurant & Take Away – 15 years of faithful relationship with our Thai-pusher We became acquainted – and quickly fell in love – with Thai Asien Restaurant & Take Away when they only had takeaway and were located in Nyhavn. It’s been more than 15 years, and the relationship doesn’t seem to be breaking anytime soon. We’ve tried to cheat with various local alternatives over the years. It usually ends up with us returning to our old Thai-pusher. 😄 Takeaway & service Thai Asien has since moved a few hundred meters away from Nyhavn and has also become a restaurant. However, this review only applies to their takeaway, as we haven’t tried eating in the restaurant yet. If you want takeaway on a Sunday evening, you sometimes have to be patient. The place is popular and can be busy. We’re happy to brave the wait. Not least because the portions are so large that Sunday dinner often turns into a pretty excellent Monday lunch. The service has been friendly and good throughout the years. Giew Thod – the obligatory start We have now been around most of the menu, but some dishes have become permanent members of the family. We almost always start with Giew Thod – deep-fried wontons with minced chicken and shrimp and sweet chili sauce. They are large, crispy and full of flavor. These are simply the best wontons we have had in Copenhagen. We have had many that come close. But none have beaten them yet. Pad Kra Proa Another favorite is no. 17, Pad Kra Proa – fresh chili fried with vegetables and basil. We always choose it with duck. It may be a bit of a bite, but it has lots of flavor and is one of those dishes where I consistently make the same mistake: I eat more than I can. Gang Panang My wife's favorite is no. 23, Gang Panang with chicken, coconut milk and Thai vegetables. Creamy, rich and really well balanced. My wife simply calls it candy. And it has happened that the plate has been licked. 👉You shouldn't let good sauce go to waste. 😄 The rice that comes with the dishes is always good too. Overall experience After more than 15 years, it is of course no longer the interest in novelty that makes us come back. It is the stability. Large portions, lots of flavor, good ingredients and some dishes that we would almost miss if they disappeared from the menu. Conclusion We have tried the competitors. We've even tried to find a new local Thai pusher. But we always end up in the same place. After more than 15 years, Thai Asien is still our regular takeaway, and that relationship doesn't look like it's going to end anytime soon.

Super good food at a good price

No exaggeration ‼️ The price is incredibly cheap, the cheapest in Copenhagen ‼️ among all Thai restaurants (you won't find this price at other places). We eat here very often and often order takeout for self-pickup. It's practically our regular spot. The prices are cheap, the portions are large, the taste is delicious, and the service is friendly. The beef basil stir-fry is especially amazing, only 119 kr. You won't find that price anywhere else; other restaurants charge 149++ kr. I highly recommend it. You'll all agree it's great.

The waitress was very nice and funny. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Amazing food and very clean place

everything is amazing here. the portion sizes are magnificent, workers are so sweet, don’t need a reservation if it’s not busy, and overall a great experience.

The food was good but the prices are different if you eat there or take it with you. Also, I had to pay 15 DKK for the rice without any information and she charged different prices for mine and my friend's cola. It wouldn't have hurt if the staff was a little more service-minded :)
